We eat there often ...have never ate anything here that I didn't like ...we got to experience the atmosphere of the newly remodeled dining room ..it is beautiful....one of our favorites is the cream of crab soup..Sunday evening on the Valentine menu was braised Duck Breast ...I've never eaten duck .so that's what I got ...it was delicious. I would recommend anyone to dine at the Candlewyck

There is nothing better than venturing into this quaint, lovely restaurant and strolling over to the dessert case - where the eyes take in all that is delish. I took home a 1/2 dozen of assorted fresh-baked cupcakes and a slice of the best Lemon Berry Marscapone Cake I have ever tasted in my life. I highly recommend Candlewyck for brunch, lunch, dinner...and please, oh please - save room for dessert. So worth it.

Being new residents of WV from the Baltimore area, we weren't sure if we'd find a really good restaurant close by. We love special flair to our food and something different from my cooking. It was Guest Chef night with a German menu, so we made our reservations. (I was briefly disappointed they had run out of Sauerbraten) But we were not disappointed about anything else! From the welcoming entrance through the quaint lounge, to the lovely dining room; to the care and service of our waiter Michael, and the friendliness of the owners and the fabulous food The Candlewyck is a 10! Michael was one of the top 5 servers we have ever had, thank you!!! We will be back!!!
