This is just a small place that is mostly for take-out or delivery. They have some tables inside that you can sit and eat at if you choose, but there is no wait staff and it looks like a grade school cafeteria inside.
However, the food itself is pretty great. The rice was cooked well and the pork and chicken cutlets were crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I also liked the Shumai, although I would skip the spicy mustard that comes with it.
Great spot if you're just wanting to eat some good food. But definitely not a spot to bring a date or anyone you're trying to impress. Last time we were here, the girl who took our order was wearing pajama pants and fuzzy slippers (not a judgement, just an observation).
Anytime I’m on the west side I always try to stop in for lunch, the curry is addictive! #4 for me on the spice level, otherwise it gets too spicy. This place reminds me of Coco-Curry house in Japan, it has a very similar taste, and food style.
Had the chicken katsu curry with my friends for dinner and it was not only filling but incredibly delicious. Also DO NOT underestimate their spice level chart. It goes from 1-10 and I'd say level 4 is a good beginner spice. Either way, we will be coming back.
I go here when I’m craving good curry but I don’t want to go all the way to the dine in at spring mt, everything is very customizable. Spice level is a little hotter then the dine in version.
After living in Japan for 3 years, it's so nice having a delicious Japanese curry place near by. The pork and chicken Katsu were great, and we added vegetables to the curry. Appropriately spicy for what I expected (maybe a tiny bit lower than expectations since the sign warns you that the curry can be spicy). They also have Katsu sauce on request!! I'll be back often.
