Like riding in a time machine. Rose & Jim's has changed very little over the years. It's still much the same as twenty years ago. Order a hamburger here and it will not only look and taste like they used to cook hamburgers at bars twenty years ago, but when you get the check you'll find they also price hamburgers like it's twenty years ago. Don't let the rough exterior scare you off; the crowd here is much more likely to talk your leg off than hit you with a beer bottle. Rose & Jim's is one of those Lexington institutions you need to visit and see for yourself at least once before you die.
