Very tasty and home cooked feeling food. I used to get their daily lunch specials at least 1 time a week when I worked in the area. They also got me addicted to rasmalai. They don’t have it everyday but I always get one if they do! A little hole in the wall place with tasty food.
I used to love their $5 double cheeseburger combo deal with their delicious burger and fries which usually had masala on them and a soft drink can. It was the best halal burger 😭
I have been coming here for almost 10 years now, there has not been a single time I've received bad service or unacceptable food taste, quality etc.. The aunty who works tirelessy is such a sweet lady, may Allah swt bless her and her family and give them more barkat in their business. They are all truly hard working people. I dont know what to say when it comes to the food honestly, whether it has been a plate of biryani or a simple cup of chai there is just something about the taste that takes me back home. I cant choose one favorite dish, they are all amazing & trust me I have had it ALL. Even the sweet dishes. I recc this place to everyone! Please ignore the exterior or the fact that this place lacks proper sitting and ambiance, but I promise if you are looking for authetic Pakistani (mostly Karachi) flavors, this place def. delivers. InshaAllah I will be coming here and supporting them for as long as I live in Chicago.
I got the biryani lunch box and it was amazing. the biryani was really delicious and flavorful. The other two items in the box I believe were a lentil stew and a spicy chicken curry which were equally as delicious. All this food under $8! I ordered a side of naan and it did not disappoint.
I have really enjoyed their selections and the delicious flavors. Their prices are affordable. Their specials are wonderful. I've tasted several of their vegetarian and chicken selections and they have been very tasteful. The place itself isn't the greatest to sit down and eat, I usually take it home and enjoy. I have been here several times when I am in the area.
We had a family get together yesterday and ordered food from Desi Grill.
It was very delicious and quantity of catering trays was very well sufficient.
Customer service was great as usual.

Such a hidden gem, hole in the wall type place--seems unassuming at first, but this place locally has some of the best tasting food at the most competitive prices in terms of portion sizes--especially true for the entree dishes. One entree is enough for 2-3 people imo. And they include add ons with everything! (I got lots of toppings with my haleem without mentioning anything at all)
Everything I've tried so far has been good, but two favorites so far are the gyro sandwiches and the butter chicken.
Food is always fresh. Love their lunch box. I won't hesitate a second in going to this place anytime.
Sitting arrangement could be better.

The food and service were great. They have a good variety of items on the menu and bring the food out quick. Seating area was not that great though
