This is the place to come if you think of the taste of Korean noodles with seafood soup. There are always a lot of people. If you order, they give you free barley rice bibimbap, which is also delicious. The amount of noodles is really large, so it's good to keep that in mind when ordering. Next time, I'll try ordering the amazing fried food here.

Everything tastes great! Highly recommend Hangari's famous bossam! The only problem is it comes with a tiny bowl of rice (maybe 2 tablespoonful only?) Even with extra rice for $3, it's still another 2 spoonful of rice only. Service is just soso, but will return for the yummy bossam!

The side dishes they start with is this fragrant barley and 3 kinds of delicious kimchi. I ordered the clam noodles, and they are delicious! The broth is incredible and very flavorful. The clams are chewy and plentiful, but the noodles are a little slimier than I would’ve liked.

Made a reservation with a group of friends to Hangari Kalguksu. One thing to note is that the parking lot is rather small, and during peak hours, it might get crowded quickly, even with valet service available. If the lot is full, consider parking at the nearby shopping mall and taking a short stroll to the restaurant. It's a small inconvenience well worth the incredible dining experience awaiting you. Also keep in mind that the restaurant follows a policy of taking orders for the entire group before seating. While it might take a bit longer, it ensures a smoother experience once seated, as they won't take additional orders at the table. We ordered the following: 1. Hangari Bossam (Extra-Large, Serves 6): For a feast to remember, the Hangari Bossam was the perfect choice. The boiled pork belly, paired with crisp cabbage leaves and the delightful sweet and spicy radish kimchi, was a symphony of flavors and textures. 2. Beef Bulgogi: Hangari's prized dish lived up to its reputation! The tender and marinated beef bulgogi, accompanied by a house salad, rice, and a soul-soothing soup, made for an unforgettable and satisfying meal. 3. Chicken-Kalguksu: Seeking comfort in a bowl? The Chicken-Kalguksu delivered just that! The knife-cut noodles in a rich chicken and anchovy broth created a heartwarming experience that left us content and thoroughly satisfied. 4. Clam-Kalguksu: Seafood enthusiasts will be pleased with the Clam-Kalguksu. The knife-cut noodles soaked in anchovy broth, infused with the essence of fresh clams, offered a delightful and umami-rich flavor. 5. Seafood-Kalguksu (Attention: Spicy): Adventurous diners, this one's for you! The Spicy Seafood-Kalguksu was a rollercoaster of flavors, with the heat of spiciness balanced perfectly by the soothing anchovy broth. Prepare to be amazed by the ample serving sizes at Hangari Kalguksu! Especially when it comes to dishes with noodles, like the Chicken-Kalguksu, Clam-Kalguksu, and Seafood-Kalguksu, each portion could easily feed two hungry diners. Our party of eight ordered five dishes and found ourselves unable to finish everything in one sitting. If you're planning to visit Hangari Kalguksu with a group, consider sharing a few dishes rather than ordering one for each person.

Place can get very busy so be sure to come early or during off peak times. We enjoyed the cold noodles and bibimbap as well as their bossam. Portions are decent for the price. Would come back again!

Been craving lots of Asian comfort food lately & hangari Kalguksu is the perfect spot for that 🤤 🍽️Ordered: 1. Pork bossam (med) 2. Chicken Kalguksu 3. Seafood Kalguksu The pork bossam is my absolute fav in LA.. the pork is sooo juicy and pairs so well with the tangy white kimchi 🔥🔥 this is a must order here!! Their soups are HUGE and really hearty because of the thick hand pulled noodles that absorb all the delicious broth 😌 They also come with a lot of protein so be prepared to feast!!! 💡Tip: 1. The portion sizes are really large! Came here again last weekend & ordered (1) large bossam & (1) large chicken Kalguksu amongst 4 ppl and we had leftovers for days 😮😮 2. Valet parking in the lot is only $4✨ (but be prepared for it to be super hectic) 💰Price: $45-50/pp

Edit: 7/2023 I came for the second time and had their bulgogi… SO GOOD. Would highly recommend, best bulgogi I tasted ever and it was really quality!!! I came with a few friends for lunch on Sunday after church and there was a huge line. Even when we were finished the line persisted - definitely a hot spot in ktown. It’s located in a little plaza where one of the sun nong dan’s is and has valet parking - make sure to bring cash, otherwise it’s street parking around the block. The wait wasn’t too long, they moved rather quickly. The inside is clean and comfortable, the waiters were really fast and nice. I got the stone pot bibimbap and it was really good - the best I’ve eaten so far. The rice was crisp to perfection, and the radish and kimchi they provided us were exceptionally good as well - the best kimchi ive ever had!! My friends had their noodle dishes and the portions were large, be prepared to take leftovers home or share family style. The bibimbap portion size was just right. Would definitely recommend coming here when in ktown, this place is a gem!!!

Super amazing food, some of the best ive had in a while. The place looks nice too. It gets really packed though, so the servers were running around with a sense of urgency, and kind of made you feel rushed to leave... and parking can be difficult at times but there are structures nearby.
