Always great !
We enjoy this restaurant for takeout when we are in the area to visit my Mom.
The staff are always very nice the restaurant is usually not over crowed but not empty and the food of course is fantastic its Ivar's a Seattle staple.
They have the BEST chowder try it.

I've been going to Ivars at 148th and 99 from since at least January 2014. I have had a lot of fond memories going here. The food was, for a seafood bar, excellent in taste and quality. I've gone here alone, celebrating my own victories, celebrating my freedoms, and came here with my mother as well. Having not frequent for two years, I had only recently came back, and learnt that this place is going out of business. Heartbroken to say the least of it all.
Well, I have had my fair share of good times here. The salmon/halibut and chips were amazing. The location, well, not exactly ideal - next to the highway. What I love, though, was how quiet the locale is. I rarely enjoy anywhere that is too busy, except for Japonessa in Downtown Seattle, but Ivar's at 148th captured my attention for how quiet it was.
Would never forget the cold winter night, where I enjoyed a nice, hot cup of chowder, as the snow falls silently outside, with my mother. I hope this post would catch your attention in time, dear viewers, but this location is sadly closing, and you wouldn't want to miss spending the last few days with this place.
Always a great staff here and the fish and chips is one of the best I've had. The place is usually pretty quiet and there's plenty of seating. Clean bathrooms too!
