The folks here are always friendly and take care of their customers. The food is good, the tea glasses are always full, and they are local. If you had a bad experience, it is not the norm. You should definitely go back and give it another try. I don’t think you would regret it. We eat there often and have never had a negative experience.

We've lived in Manchester for a year now and only recently found this hidden gem! We love this place! The food is excellent, very well priced and Renee is amazing! ❤❤❤

Love the care and love that Renee and her team put into every last thing they create at the Mercantile! On weekdays, the cafe is the perfect place to go for a traditional Southern meat-and-three. On Friday nights, you don't want to miss the weekly fish fry. And on Sundays, the Merc is one of the only eateries in town that serves a full-blown brunch spread! The adjoining bakery threatens my waistline with its delicious baked goods made fresh daily (fudge, divinity, rice krispie treats, hand pies, you name it). They also have a booth at the Saturday Community Market.
