Ryan's On York Manitowoc

One of my favorite places to eat and drink in Manitowoc. The menu is innovative, the food is fresh and the scene is modern and casual. Try the various burgers & fries, numerous craft beers, grilled chicken or cheese sandwich, fried cheese (wow) and the Thai if offered as a dinner special.

I'm really surprised at some of these bad reviews. I've been wanting to try Ryan's now for months and last night me, my husband, and my 1 week old finnaly stopped down for dinner. I loved the atmosphere, music wasn't too loud, staff was very prompt to great us despite them being very busy. I ordered the fried cheese and gyro fries. Both of which are fantastic however I didn't expect the fried cheese to be so much in quantity. If you order this make sure you have someone to help you finish it lol. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and liked it so much he had to order another. My son had the grilled cheese and fries and said they were very good. Our waiter went above and beyond and was very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the seating was so crowded. I know it's a small place but I think they could set up the sitting space a bit differently. There was a table of 4 that was wide open but we couldn't get back there to sit becasue the people at the table in front of it had their chairs pulled all the way out and people were standing by the bar blocking the seats as well so we ended up sitting right by the door which wasn't ideal either. Regardless the food was top notch, we felt we got a ton of food for what we paid, the staff was great friendly and fast. We also got our food way faster then what I though we would I think we were only sitting there for 15 20 minutes. Well worth it!
