Excellent restaurant. Everything was fresh and service was excellent. Very attentive (but not too attentive) wait staff. Had the fish and chips and although the breading was a little heavy for my taste, the fish was fantastic and not greasy at all. Definitely try the chips and salsa/queso/guacamole appetizer. The guacamole is awesome and the salsa beats any I have had in any Mexican restaurant. Will be going back to try the fish tacos on "taco Tuesday"! So nice to see restaurants like this going in on the Marietta Square.

It just occurred to me why when I was invited to go here by some friends I had not heard of WR Social House before...it used to be Willie Rae's. Interesting. Anyways, this is a great 'addition' to the Square's repertoire of restaurants. It has a neat atmosphere and a great modern look now. Their food offerings are different and unique. I got the enchiladas (not on the menu, apparently they have a lot of dishes not listed, you have to ask) and they were SO GOOD!!! They were pretty spicy, so a head's up if that isn't your thing. The best enchiladas I have ever had. I don't remember what everyone got in my party but this place was a hit for all.

Our waitress was fantastic and patient, even with our large group. She answered all of our questions and was attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant! Only things I need to warn about are that they charge $1 for the ice if you get a liquor on-the-rocks (yet they don't charge extra for water on-the-rocks?) and if you are in a larger group they automatically add 20% to your bill. Other than that, loved going here!

Wonderful ... Awesome and Amazing..... This is just how good that we found this restaurant....

We stopped at this restaurant on the Marietta Food Tour, today. That's right... we stopped here "today" and did a sampling of food. The option available was pimento cheese balls in a pepper honey sauce. And it was like heaven on a plate. I could have eaten a dozen of them and then been yelled at by my partner for eating all of them... But I could have and I would have.

That being said... We had to come back and try it this evening. And we did. And it was amazing... We started with the goat cheese stuffed fried green tomatoes... And I could have just gone into a food coma at that very moment. Delicious is an understatement. We also ordered the peanut hummus. That was the only thing that we found to be just "average." I really did expect that it would be more flavorful. And we expected it to be far less salty. A nice touch was the side of celery and carrots that were dipping options with fresh baked bread chips. But it wasn't. And that's ok. We know for next time. For entree, I ordered the Social House burger and a side salad. The burger was clearly ground in house and was of very high cut of meet. Being the owner (a husband wife team) own the Butcher and Baker (connected) that is really not surprising. (Spoiler alert... The husband is the butcher and the wife is the baker.... And they are amazingly talented.) The burger, it was cooked medium and topped with caramelized onions. The burger is large... and it's two patties. And though I have a really big mouth (no wise cracks) I had to cut it in half to eat it. The side salad was a mix of field greens. It was topped with a balsamic vinaigrette ... Topped with french onions and blue cheese crumbles. A lot of blue cheese crumbles. It was a flavorful explosion. My partner ordered the fried chicken sandwich. And that is really a misnomer. It was not what you would expect as a "fried" sandwich. It was lightly coated and (what I expect was) pan fried as opposed to deep fryer. It almost did not appear "fried" at all. And that's a good thing! He had a side of hand cut fries. Fries that were crispy and cooked to perfection. (And I don't normally like fries!) There was no room for dessert .... Zero .... None...

So what I'm saying is that you have to give this location a try. This is just one of the many fine restaurants on square... But it's a worthy one and one that deserves your attention and your patronage.

Excellent food, laid back dining. First time here was a success. Not very busy on a Wednesday night, I was seated immediately at the bar(party of 1). I tried the fried bread and butter pickles, and they were quite possibly the best I've ever had. The fact that they're sweet pickles instead of dill really sets them off. They're also cut very thin, making them like chips once they're fried, and served with a remoulade sauce. Even though its not REAL remoulade, this mayo based sauce has the right flavor to get the job done. I had the special of the night, a grilled trout poboy with some of the same thin cut sweet pickles, romaine lettuce, onion, and the remoulade sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the flavors came together nicely. Even with the fried pickles app and a sweet tea, I came out under 20 bucks with tax. Well worth it, IMO even if the downtown-esque location makes it a bit difficult to park.
