Our first time there we sat ourselves outside, place was pretty busy. Waited a few minutes for a server but once we got a waitress the service was very good. We had the buffalo chips with brisket and bacon. They were awesome (even if the brisket was a little cold). I had pulled pork, brisket and turkey. My son had wings. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Our server mentioned that the hostess had called off and they were short handed. And I have been a waitress, and I know the struggles of being busy and being short handed. So our overall experience was great and I will be back.
Great view, excellent waiter and food was spot on for what you would expect. A little hole in the wall type place with local flavor. Well worth the drive off 77 if you are traveling. Service was awesome but at a slower pace then most people have come to expect, but we were loving the view of the Ohio River and didnt notice it really.
This was my first time visiting Boathouse BBQ. I had the best Birthday ribs ever! The five inch tall chocolate Cheesecake was the best. If I had known that the food and atmosphere was as good as it is I would have been here sooner. The only sour note of the evening was the couple who complained during most of the hour they were there claiming that they had to wait one and a half hours to get their food.

Food was great as always...we had fried pickles and onion rings for appetizers and the pickles were the best I’ve had anywhere. Love this place and the atmosphere and would recommend to anyone
This place is always awesome, but today was the best. The bartender/server was excellent. She was rocking that bar, and the tables, and our steaks weren’t cooked how we wanted (still excellent tho) so she had them remade for us. I didn’t catch her name but Server ID 50: you rocked it out! We’ll definitely be back!
Visiting from out of town and found this wonderful BBQ spot. Very, very good BBQ. We had the meat combo so we could try all of their meats and it didn't disappoint! All of the cuts were delicious, especially the brisket which I appreciated the crispy grill on the outside. Love how juicy everything was. BBQ sauces available at the table, all meats come naked which is awesome, no need to hide the wonderful smoked flavor with sauce. The atmosphere is great too, they have a bar area as well as outside seating. With it being settled on the edge of the OH river the views are definitely an added treat as well as the lush greenery. Loved the giant chair in the back, fun little add on the outside. It was a busy spot but we were seated right away and our order and food were taken care of quickly too. The veggies were fresh and tasty, the artichoke dip was interesting in that the chips it came with were flour instead of the usual corn tortilla chips or even bread for dipping. Overall it was different but good, we liked it. I always try the mac&cheese at BBQ places because that's my benchmark for BBQ sides. This one was not good, but I'm sure people don't fo there for the mac&cheese. The cheese sauce was flavorless and the texture was off, like melted American cheese mixed with a little milk to loosen it up a little or Kraft mac&cheese. Definitely not a traditional roux sauce. Skip the mac&cheese but go all in on the meats! The BBQ was delicious, the views a plus!
Arrived, River breaking the banks, both inside and outside dining busting at the seams. Waiters and waitresses bustling all about and I knew instantly we chose a local favorite, hidden gem in the tri-state. Food was excellent, waitress was on top of it, friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back. I'll definitely drive the 90 minutes just for a bite. I highly recommend you make this a stop as you pass through.
We are SO FULL of delicious BBQ! 🐷 We stopped here on our way back from Florida, glad we did! I had the ribs w/ sweet potato fries & caramel sauce - omg 😋 - ribs were perfection & the bbq sauce, best ever. Hubby had the pulled pork & brisket - unbelievably succulent, tender, & great tasting. Wonderful view of the river & actually got to see a barge go past. Our server was great - fast & attentive This place was a wonderful find - thank you!
It is one of my favorite restaurants in Marietta. I always make sure to visit and dine in the Boat House when I’m in town and always ordered grilled pork BBQ ribs. It was the best for me. Their food is amazing but inconsistent, service is a little slow but ambience is phenomenal.
Service was a bit slow, but the food was amazing. I make a meal out of the pulled pork bbq nachos. They are loaded down with pork, creamy cheese sauce, ranch and house bbq. I like to add their blueberry bourbon bbq sauce to them. It’s sweet and you can taste the blueberries. I asked what all comes on them and they didn’t mention the lettuce. I would minus the lettuce in future. We also ordered the Buffalo Mac n Cheese. The cheese sauce they use for the nachos is the same and the Buffalo sauce was good with bleu cheese crumbles on top. Both dishes were generous portions. This is a great place to come on a nice day as they are right on the river and have good indoor seating with views as well as outdoor seating during the warmer months.
