The Soup Shop- 4100 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935
5- Stars
The random name generator checked in at The Soup Shop a few weeks ago. I silently pondered, “ugh…soup. Who in their right mind eats soup in 110-degree weather paired with humidity at 100%?” undeterred, I pressed the button again, and landed on an alternative. Fast forward to the present and the generator has again paused on The Soup Shop. This time, I opted not to test fate and decided to go. To say that I’m exceedingly happy with my choice would be a massive understatement.
Upon entering, I was greeted by the manager, whose name is Robin. In addition, there were several other employees, all of whom were friendly and kind. Indeed, the staff deserves a round of applause and is certainly worthy of a bravo.
My order: dragon stew, chicken dumplings, tuna salad, egg salad, chicken pot pie, and grilled cheese. I could certainly attempt to describe, elucidate, and expound on all the subtle details that make this cuisine fantastic but simply put, I suggest you go… NOW.
Before you arrive please consider that every single item is made with the highest quality ingredients and is also prepared with absolute attention to detail, expertly crafted and executed to present fare that bursts with loads of flavor. LOADS OF FLAVOR! Channeling my inner battologist, did I say loads of flavor? It’s also worth noting: The egg and tuna salad are both made to order.

Stopped in for the first time and I am so glad I did. At the store I tried a sample of their Split Pea Soup and it was so good. I brought home some White Chicken Chili, Seafood Gumbo, Italian Wedding and of course the Split Pea. So far I’ve had the Chili and the Gumbo. Both were very good, but the Seafood Gumbo had so much seafood in it that I was in heaven! Can wait to eat my other 2.
They have prepackaged soups that are both frozen and refrigerated so you can take some home for later. They also have fresh soups and sandwiches that you can order right there.
They also sell slices of Juniors Cheesecake and it tastes just like it did the last time we were in New York and stopped at Juniors.
I highly recommend stopping in and stocking up on really good soup!
I just visited the new Soup Shop in Hammock Landing, and it's delightful. Cozy atmosphere, lots of choices, and friendly staff! I bought three quart-sized soups from the freezer/fridge, and so far I've tried two: She Crab and Dragon Stew. They're both SO good, and the prices were excellent. Looking forward to trying many more!
Edit 11/7: be alert about prices here...the ones posted in the fridge are wrong, and an employee told me they don't plan on updating them until they get a label maker. So, please get a label maker, Soup Shop. It's one thing if it's an oversight, but to be aware they're wrong and not take them down or fix them is just unprofessional.
