Pizza Hammock Landing Melbourne

When you walk into the establishment, it is clean and has that wonderful aroma of Italian food. The menu on the wall is a little difficult to see on the wall because the tables back up to it pretty close. But once you figure out what you want, you move forward to the counter and start building your pizza. I have gone 2x now, 2 days a part, and I found the pizza to be delicious, but the staff is just going through the motions of making pizza without personalities. It's almost an uncomfortable weird. I tried to chat a little, but on neither visit, they were just not having it. The pizzas are made with all fresh ingredients and then thrown in the fire. You can see everything from where you are standing once you have finished ordering. They do have salads and ice cream. I found the prices to be comparable and location is great. There is plenty of indoor seating (nothing outside). My pizza was perfectly cooked on both visits. But I think for me, a little bit of customer service goes a long way, and this place has zero. I hate feeling like I'm inconveniencing someone. So, for that reason, I would probably go somewhere else. There are a lot of pizza places to choose from.

I wish I could leave a hundred 5 star reviews! My family and I have become frequent flyers to Your Pie, having dinner there at least once a week! I have a severe gluten allergy and let me tell you! This is the only restaurant I can eat at consistently and NEVER have a problem with cross contamination! Kudos to the owner for making this a priority! The owner is always there smiling, greeting customers and working hard. The staff is always friendly and smiling too! Completely unrelated to the delicious food but equally as important, the bathrooms are always spotlessly clean. Highly recommend Your Pie in West Melbourne!
