Been going there for early breakfast many many years. This morning I had Cuban toast with coffee and fried chicken with egg whites. I meant to take a picture and had my phone out, however the food looked so good I forgot.
Debating if I should have a guava cheese pastry.
This place is not high brow, but the food is wholesome, good and sizable servings. Helps if you know some Spanish, but the staff is patient and you can order a meal by number.
Nice to pick up coffee on the run at the window on the street.
-FYI: I took a bag of pasties to go, for my office.

Very good inexpensive Cuban food. Excellent grilled red snapper with sweet plantains and black beans only $10. Excellent Cuban sandwiches. Near Government Center.

I really enjoyed this place. It has a casual atmosphere with the trappings of an American diner, but of course the fare is Cuban. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and a cafe con leche, and expectations were met. A lot of the other lunches looked even better too. Prices were reasonable, and service was prompt and friendly. I would go back.
