A definite must ! My fiancé and I enjoyed a private dinner in the back corner, where we watched a beautiful wedding take place in the garden. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was very good. He had the prime rib and I had a special which was the grilled swordfish (which was unfortunately a bit dry). Our waitress recommended The lemon marscapone cake...it was to die for! Why we haven't come here before is beyond me. It will definitely become a regular dinner date location for us!! We both loved it!
Recently had my wedding there. Not only are the grounds beyond beautiful, but the staff was extremely helpful! Sandy went above and beyond for us! She was everywhere from setting up to taking things down. Josh was also very helpful answering any and all questions super fast leading up to the day! I highly recommend this place!
I can't even begin to tell you how great this place is. I'm one of the pickiest people you will ever meet. The property is perfect the food is awesome but the people behind the scenes make this place special. I wish every town or city in the world had a place like this. Thank you
I can't thank Josh and Christina and all the staff at The Mile Away enough for helping me put together and make my wedding on 9/30/16 so memorable. The food was amazing, service was on point and the gardens where beautiful. I couldn't ask for anything more for my wedding and would highly recommend The Mile Away for not only dinner but also anybody who is looking for a venue for a wedding.
Lovely country charm and atmosphere. Food is excellent and staff is exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. This was a special event and their attention to detail was refreshing. Would highly recommend.

I'm a Milford native, my husband and I live a few towns away. We like to choose the Mile Away, especially for special occasions. We've brought both sets of parents there. The food and service is always excellent. My husband and I had our Thanksgiving meal at the Mile Away in 2016. It happened to be my 62nd birthday that day so I wore my best dress. When we arrived, the hostess commented on my outfit. When I told her it was my birthday, she seated us at a lovely corner table, with a window that overlooked the garden. We each chose the traditional turkey dinner and it was just as we've grown to expect from this fine establishment. We'll definitely be back, the garden must be lovely in spring.

The only negative was the stuffed clams...dry, overdone,seemed like mostly stuffing....but everything else was super. The prices were great too !!!!!! I would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back again...

The grounds and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. The white tent was lit with white lights, the service was great and the food was excellent. Perfect place to have a wedding and such a nice backdrop for pictures.

It's a beautiful very old inn and restaurant nestled in a country setting. We reserved the private room for our function and the service was excellent. The menu selection was varied with interesting four course pairings. I had the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. Don't forget to save room for dessert! The chef visited us to announce his fresh apple tart which I got and was just delicious! A great experience!

Wonderful dining experience. Charming atmosphere with very attentive wait staff. The 4 course meal was delicious 😋 and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. My husband and I had a drink on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful grounds before going into the dining room.
I did a wedding gig here. The grounds are very photogenic and provide many backgrounds. The waitstaff is topnotch and they accommodate with Bravado style. My music loved it.
Five of us went to dinner and we all had great food, every course was divine. We had generous drinks, our waitress was very attentive, great atmosphere, wonderful experience that we can’t wait to repeat!
Love the ambiance of this place. The food is amazing. I had a fruit cup with sorbet, a salad, wiener schnitzel with Swiss potatoes, pickled beets and lemon mascarpone cake! 😋
Great experience! We were there for a wedding, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff was amazing! The food was great too! I would highly recommend them for weddings and other events.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Mile Away. Each of our meals was prepared to perfection and the escargot was the best I've ever eaten. Our waitress Alex was also very gracious and made us feel like family.
It's sad that we found this lovely place just as they are switching to an event only venue.
