I went here for brunch last weekend and dinner this weekend and both were great! I thought the brunch menu was a little better than the dinner menu but I did not try everything so that is just my initial impression.
The menu is creative and the chefs and servers seem to have a good sense of humor. For brunch, they say sunglasses inside and pajamas are encouraged, and the burgers were described as the "sluttiest burgers in Milwaukee". The burgers are definitely delicious!! The baked cheese curds are also amazing, and they're offered for dinner and brunch. Their drinks are also really creative - my favorites are the Spicy Baez and El Hombre Abides.
Overall, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back to try more of the menu!
Seriously this is the best burger in Milwaukee. I don't eat burger and fries often anymore so it's a treat on my new healthy lifestyle. When I do decide to eat a burger and fries, this is where I choose to go. This should say alot. The Social Merriment burger is just as good if not better than a place I went in Chicago that I thought was to die for. Get the Social Merriment or if you are more daring they have some other creative burger options. You won't be disappointed!!
I visited Merriment for Mother's Day brunch on Sunday. Bloody Marys and mimosas were top shelf. The buffet held an excellent selection of seafood, caesar salad, fruits, breakfast fare, and tasty desserts. The crown jewel was the prime rib and ham-off-the-bone carving station. Fantastic! Everything was fresh and hot, a big challenge for a buffet serving hundreds of people. Kudos to the MS owners and staff!
