Awesome barbecue! Definitely try the rib tips. Sides are great too. Had the coleslaw, cowboy beans and mac and cheese so far, all have been stellar. I would give 5 starts, but the place is a bit run down. Give the place a bit of an update and maybe add a table or two and I'll go 5 starts all the way!
Paulee's ROCKS. Their prices are amazing for what you get, very authentic smoked BBQ, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, etc... their sides are not an afterthought! The slaw I had with my fish fry last Friday was about the best I've had: fresh and crisp. Their brisket-chunk laden "cowboy beans" are the stuff of legend, and other "crave-worthy" sides include deep fried pickle spears, mexican corn (moî picanté!), and the fries are fresh and thick. I go there often, and enjoy every bite. There are other barbecue places in town at 1.5 times the price but of lesser quality. This carry-out only place has got them beat. Locals, consider yourselves lucky. Anybody else... this is worth the drive for.
Ordered the pulled port and and beef for my son's graduation.party as the main meal, with three different sauces. I asked about a dozen people if they liked it and which one they liked best. Everyone raved about and could not decide which they liked better. The best part is that we ordered extra so I can enjoy leftovers for the next few days. Great stuff. Just enough smoke flavor, didn't notice any fatty pieces. Great stuff!.
