If you think the best thing in Mitchell, SD is the Corn Palace, think again. El Columpio is one of THE best Mexican restaurants in the United States. Wow! The flavors, quality, quantity and service is outstanding! We had the fish tacos and barbacoa tacos 🌮 which both were SO good. If you leave Mitchell, SD without stopping here, you will be sorry you did. It was simply the best meal we had off 90 and we were driving from Seattle towards Wisconsin! Highly recommend this place! Probably in my top 5 Mexican restaurant in the USA!

The restaurant was super clean and had swings for kids. The salsa was good with chips and ordered mango chicken enchiladas with margarita. It was delicious with a mix of sweet/spicy sauce. Definitely would visit again if I’m in the area.

Had Sunday lunch! We ordered Mexican Meal and El Panza platter. Both very delicious, prompt and friendly service. We had still to box a lot. Very recommended
