Banzai is in fact open. We have dinner this past week. Very good Sushi and friendly. It is not commercialized as most other Sushi restaurants. They do close for vacation, but are very good about posting dates in restaurant well before. They are open Tues - Sat 5:30pm until 9:00.
Best sushi in the southeast!. Hands down this place has the best sushi, service and atmosphere! You won't be disappointed and you'll be addicted.
"Fresh Sushi Made By a Master". Best "pure sushi" place in Mobile. Its a small place and staffed only by the couple who owns it, but the sushi is always fresh and the rolls are not the over sauced/seasoned disasters so many chefs serve these days. Decent sake and beer selection, too!
Amazing. This is by far the best sushi in town! I will eat at other sushi restaurants but Banzai is where I go for the best. Call and make sure they are in before you go. Just a husband and wife combo that does it all.

This is a small mom & pop sushi restaurant. Best advise I can give you is to call before you go, make sure they are in. They are good about leaving messages if they will be closed. This is the best sushi in Mobile. When my wife and I want to go out for a good sushi night, this is our first thought. Some don't like it because they don't offer hibachi, but this is a SUSHI restaurant. I love this place, I go whenever I can.
Good Food, if you can catch them at work. I have gone several times to eat there but they are rarely ever in ....the food is good. A little higher than most places but I would definitely go more
It truly is a Mom and Pop establishment. If you don't get there early be prepared for a wait. Top notch food and regulars are known. Sort of like Soup Nazi Sushi style but friendlier
Absolutely Wonderful, Authentic and Local.. By far, the best sushi in Mobile. And on top of that, the prices are also the best. I live within 10 minutes of the majority of sushi restaurants in Mobile except for Banzai (which is a 25minute drive for me), however the extra drive is always worth it. While you're waiting for your sushi to arrive, order an app of the tempura vegetables which are to die for. I absolutely love this place.
For those commenting on the hours of operation, I always call to be safe (since it is a long drive for me). The answering machine will pick up and let you know what time they are open that day, which is usually only dinner Tuesday through Saturday around 5:30 - 9. It's family owned and operated, so the hours are understandable.
