Ribs are great, grilled chicken is great. I don't usually get salad or salad bar anywhere ever, but the salad bar here is something that I always look forward to.

The Pit isn't the Pits. We found ourselves in Moultrie on a Monday evening. Except for the typical chains, very little was open. We like barbecue and the Pit seemed like a fine choice.

The place is a simple, small town restaurant. The servers aren’t the best, but what can you expect? The food is pretty good, but nothing really stood out. The Brunswick Stew was nice and the barbecued chicken was good. The chopped pork and the ribs were a little too fatty for my taste.

All in all, it was...fine.

The thin-sliced smoked pork is to DIE for - so good (even if you happen to be an Eastern NC BBQ fan)!!!! The 7-layer cake is also fantastic! The staff are super friendly local folks who make you feel right at home. Don't miss!
