⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Dining Experience at Dr. Rolf's Barbecue! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our visit to Dr. Rolf's Barbecue was an absolute delight from start to finish! 🌟 Dana kicked things off with the Dirty Tots – a tantalizing explosion of flavors that we both couldn't resist. 😋 Our main dishes were a testament to the culinary mastery at Dr. Rolf's. I savored the Southwestern Salad with Pulled Pork – a harmonious blend of mixed greens, black beans, corn, avocado, sweet onions, red bell, and poblano peppers dressed with housemade southwest ranch dressing. Dana opted for the Rib Meat Sandwich, which was a masterpiece of pork baby back rib meat smothered in Dr. Rolf's peach apricot barbecue sauce, topped with slaw and red onions. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left her craving for more! 🍖🥗 Kudos to our amazing waitress, Kelleen, who not only ensured that our dining experience was flawless but also did it with a genuine smile. 😊 We were lucky to secure a table in one of their private dining cabins – a truly unique and cozy concept. Equipped with a table, chairs, heater, and soft lighting, it created an intimate atmosphere that elevated our dining experience. 🏞️ The only downside? Dr. Rolf's Barbecue isn't closer to us, or we'd be regulars without a doubt. Dining out for under $50 and receiving such an exceptional experience is a rare gem these days. 💸🍽️ In summary, Dr. Rolf's Barbecue offers not only mouthwatering dishes but also a warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with top-notch service. I've been to their Grand Haven location and loved it. Somehow the Muskegon location beats it. The atmosphere is welcoming and nostalgic. It's located in a great old building with tall tin ceilings. They've used reclaimed wood to perfection that just gives a warm feeling and the choice of black metal lighting that gives a nice solid feeling. I ordered the 3 tacos ($13) and got 1 of each flavor.  A Brisket taco with Pickled onions, radishes, queso fresco cheese, sriracha sour cream, fresh cilantro. A Chicken taco with Grilled onions & poblano peppers, queso fresco cheese, southwest sauce, fresh cilantro. Plus a Pulled Pork taco with Bean & corn salad, queso fresco cheese, cilantro lime sour cream, fresh cilantro. Plus I ordered 6 Chicken Wings ($13) which are smoked and glazed with sauce, in this case the Peach Apricot sauce. Lastly I got an order of the Cornbread Waffles ($4). Everything was excellent. Tacos were fun and juicy while exploding with juice and flavor. The wings were smoked to perfection and the cornbread may be the best I've had. The person I was with ordered the 1 Meat plus 2 side platter ($15). In this case pulled pork, coleslaw, and cornbread waffles. Here again everything was loved. Especially the cornbread. So much so an additional order was placed to take home. The service here was like everything else. Top notch. Overall the most solid a 5 star review can get. Would I return? YES!!!! Their 3rd location needs to be in Grand Rapids, preferably on the south side!
