Luigi's Trattoria Myrtle Beach

We found this restaurant totally by mistake. We were getting ice cream at Kirks across the side street and had to park in back because it was so busy. We could see Luigis from the parking lot nestled back off Kings Hwy behind some trees and another business. We decided to go back the next night for dinner and we were not disappointed! We got there around 5:30 and were able to get a table for four without having made a reservation (although the restaurant filled up quickly after that). Our waiter was prompt and courteous. He explained the specials and showed us the list of Early Bird Specials that were available from 4-6. We ordered Linguine with clams in white wine sauce(x2), Chicken Francaise, and the Lasagna. Fresh hot bread with dipping oil came with our drinks and that disappeared quickly and was promptly replaced with more. While we waited for our dinners, a sweet gentleman played traditional (and some not so traditional) Italian songs on an accordion. He had everyone clapping and singing along. Our dinners arrived and they were delicious! The Chicken Francaise was served over ziti and was rich and buttery. The lasagna was a perfect size, not too meaty but definitely full of fillings with a rich tomato sauce. The Linguine with Clams had about 8 clams on it in the shells and was in a rich buttery white wine sauce. The clams were just a tad rubbery but the flavor was so good it vastly outweighed the texture. We were so full from dinner that we skipped dessert but we will definitely be back next trip! If you're looking for good Italian food served in a traditional Italian restaurant try Luigi's Trattoria! You will not be disappointed!
