Amazing. I was running late for my 630 pm reservation, I called, and they were very understanding.
Our server, Georgia, is from Greece, and she was absolutely fantastic.
The food was wonderful, the presentation was nice, and it was very flavourful.
Will be back again.
OPA!
What a fabulous find for this evening's dinner! Greek cuisine is always on my favorites list, and a quick search brought me to this local hidden place. We were greeted before we could open the door by a delightful hostess. There were only two other couples before us, so we had the pick of tables to sit. We chose a cozy 2 seater by the window. There is plenty of outdoor patio seating, but the oncoming rain suggested we remain indoors. The restaurant interior is charming, inviting, and quaint. All of the staff were welcoming and glad we were there. Our server was impeccable and offered great suggestions. Relaxing music by Mediterranean artists filled the room, and it was not loud.
After considering the wine list, she selected a cabernet, and I asked for a malbec. After a first sip, we quickly discovered each other's glass tasted better, so we swapped glasses. Much better.
An appetizer with 4 Dolmades arrived minutes after the wine.
She ordered the
Chicken Lemonato
Pan seared chicken breast, finished with a caper, white wine, lemonato sauce. Served with mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, rice, or sautéed veggies.
I ordered the Moussaka, of course.
Potato, zucchini, and eggplant layered with our Greek meat sauce & 3 cheese blend. Topped with a rich, fluffy béchamel. Served with green beans stewed in tomato sauce.
The Dolmates were the best I've ever had. The Moussaka was perfect, melt in your mouth delicious. I didn't think I'd finish it all at once, but I managed. The Lemonato was also extremely tender and pairs perfectly with the Greek potatoes.
We sat as long as we wanted while we finished our wine. I always have a sweet tooth after dinner, and since there's a lovely dessert counter within sight, I ordered the Galactoboureko to go. Very important. Don't forget the Galactoboureko!
Yes, Mykonos Kuzina is.....
Maloy Approved
Went there for the first time last night. The people are really friendly and my guests know the original owners and their son still works there as a cook. We had great food and great service. I have experienced a lot of Greek food but will definitely be going back to try some new dishes.
