You don’t have to eat Chinese food when in Chinatown. Pasteur offers tasty Vietnamese fare at reasonable prices. The grilled pork chop, in particular, was so tender. The accompanying sides in the combination platter ($14) may not be all to your liking but contrast nicely in texture and flavor. The summer rolls ($7) were decent but could have benefited from extra brightness and crunch).

This is the third review I've written for Pasture's and I'll gladly write one everytime I go....which I do, everytime I'm in New York. The staff is warm and welcoming, the place is extremely well maintained and it takes a lot of stress off to know that no matter what I order, it's going to be delicious. It's become a tradition for me to make this place my first stop off the plane. A fantastic place to eat drink and have some EXCELLENT food!

Along side of 2 other Vietnamese restaurants next door, they serve standardized Vietnamese fare. One thing that stood out, they have a Pho that contains ox-tail, and I love ox-tail so that was somewhat of a plus for me and unique; its slightly higher if I recall, $15+ for the Ox-Tail pho. I will say, their sandwich is probably the least favorite among all of the other Viet places nearby.
