I had the 6 course lunch offering paired with the wine flight. Simply amazing. Easily one of the best meals of my life. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was sublime and the master sommelier must have descended from the heavens
Been to Brick Lane several times, this is a third location on the 2nd avenue/5th Street area. Always the same menu. Had samosas and poppodums to start, both very good, with Lamb Rhogan and Chicken Jalfezi. Good meat and sauces quite different textures and tastes as they should be. Peshwar Naan and house rice completed the meal. They don't have liquor license yet so mango lassies very good.
Quiet at the start of the meal but busy at the end, cozy atmosphere. No complaints, reasonable prices so recommended. A pleasant change from Curry (Murray) Hill..
Brick Lane curry house In east village nice place for Indian food lover .we order here chicken leg with naan and beer and we enjoyed here alot.nice ambiance and excellent service
Although a bit on the expensive side considering it calls itself a curry house, the food was great. A British themed restaurant complete with large flags gracing the walls and English rock music playing with what is essentially Indian fare for food. We had beers with tandoori chicken legs with garlic naan, butter chicken and maa in daal. The food, along with the broken AC in NYC summer heat, almost immediately transported me back to a Dhaaba restaurant in Bombay. The naans were a little bit on the crispier side rather than soft. The tandoori chicken was scrumptious as was the butter chicken. It was nice that they brought us Papad with the beer, reminding me of the customary "Chakhna" concept from home. All in all a good experience.
Not bad. My wife and I ate here a while back and we both enjoyed it. Well prepared food and friendly service. Kind of a trendy atmosphere for lack of a better description. The menu offers all of the standard fare but the spicing of the food seemed toned down for the American palate in my opinion. That's always disappointing to me. A main problem of mine is that I couldn't help but compare it to all of the great old restaurants on 6th street back in the day. Many of those places were legendary and those old chefs were masterful. Unfortunately these places have vanished over the years due to sky high rent in the area. Now there are a small fraction of once was which saddens me. Well at least I still have those great memories!
I go to this superb restaurant many times since I love the good mood that is unique to this place. The crew is very attentive and well trained. The service is remarkablywonderfully fast. Needless to say, the food they serve is perfect. I visited often and I was never disappointed. The price is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to all my friends.
this place is incredible. the staff is extremely kind. amazing experience. food was so flavorful delicious and authentic. will come back for sure
Food was amazing. We had different dishes and all of them were super tasty. Service was great! Prices are more than fair. I highly recommend this Indian restaurant.
Came here to check out the spiciest curry challenge. It truly was indeed so hot that we couldn’t even really make a dent to it. But the chicken tikka masala was really good! And so was the service!
Amazing food with fantastic service! Extremely fast, and when we showed up to our reservation half an hour ready, they found a table to accommodate us! Highly recommend
