Bistro 150 Oak Ridge

Great breakfast!  I enjoyed the breakfast omelet and the fried potatoes were excellent.  It has a great atmosphere, too.   I would highly recommend.

Good food but not a music venue. A friend of mine was playing at Bistro 150 Friday night and the wife and I decided to go listen. When we got there, we found another friend sitting at a table next to the door and she invited us to sit with her saying that "it's the only table left". Now my friend was to start performing at 7:30 and we got there at 6:30 so this didn't bode well for being able to hear the singing as the room is long and narrow and the stage was at the other end. But we decided to eat and see what happened.

As the other reviews have said you step up to the counter to order and there I found a very friendly young lady who took my food and drink order. We both had decided on the Classic Club sandwich. They have Red Oak and Humming Bird on tap, both from a local brewery, and a good selection of micro brews in bottles. They also have a good selection of wines. My wife wanted a Red Oak draft and I got a glass of 7 Deadly Zins wine. I carried our drinks back to the table after being told that they would bring our food to us.

We sat and chatted with our friend and the food came out in a very short time. We both remarked that the sandwich was very good and it certainly was a good value with lots of meat and cheese. However things started going downhill as we ate.

The group seated next to us was getting louder the longer we stayed and when my friend started playing guitar and singing we could barely hear him over the chatter and loud laughter. Two more friends had come in in the mean time and we invited them to sit with us. They both remarked on the noise. It finally got so bad that we all left. I was very disappointed because I had been looking forward to the concert all week.

To sum up: From our experience this seems to be a good place to eat but it is not the place to go to hear music.
