I couldn't tell when we walked in if this was a hipster place in Portland or a beachside hangout in Oceanside. What I found is that Kim made this a great experience with her great service and by recommending the best porkchop I have ever had. Who could imagine a pork chop on top of bacon cheddar grits with some bonus shrimp? Top that off with a fried egg and you have a meal worth high fives to all in the room. My kids loved the bacon mac n cheese and my love Sarah was very satisfied with the amazing chicken dish. Couldn't believe how great the watermelon infused cocktail was and the beer selection was top notch. Thanks Kim for the great service and thanks to the owner for entertaining our kids with the trivia (what 3 animals start with the letter N). Huge thanks from your new friends and fans in Oregon.

My family and I were visiting Carlsbad for a Legoland trip and like always, I wanted to eat good food. After searching for a bit, I decided on this place. And I'm glad I did! The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Our waiter (I want to say his name is Eric) was one of the best waiters I've ever had, super friendly, talked to the kids and asked us questions, thorough with the menu, etc. I had the pancetta pasta of the day, the fettuccine was cooked to perfection, the flavors blended wonderfully, overall just a great dish. So great that I'm attempting to make it at home this weekend so I don't have to make the 4 hour drive each time I want it ;) the kiddos had burgers and the fries were delicious. Usually when we go to restaurants the kids food sucks and lacks flavor. They were perfectly crispy and had just a hint of something sour, I want to say lemon, so you ended up with blend of salty, sour, sweetness (If you dip in ketchup), and a crunchy texture on the outside with a soft center. Overall our dining experience was awesome and if we're ever in the area, I'm definitely coming back!

We stumbled upon this place in Oceanside on vacation. I'm a foodie, my brother is a chef, even our kids are distinguished eaters. It did not disappoint! Service for our party of 10 was top notch, even catered to the kids. Food was mind blowing , made from scratch, locally sourced, and cooked perfectly! We'll be back for sure. Incredible rib eye Steak, cheesy grits, bacon mac & cheese, mussels, goat cheese appetizer, you can't go wrong. Owner was magnificent and even pointed out some nearby nightlife spots. Highly recommended!!
