High quality. Easily a top three burger. The burger is made to order with fresh ingredients. The burger is cooked perfectly, tender, and juicy. The burger is a good size. The fries are fresh cut from American potatoes and dropped in the fryer upon order. They have a sign that tells you where the fries come from. The fries are always served hot, crispy on the outside and mash potato like on the inside. The Cajun fries come with plenty of seasoning. They are not as generous on the fries portion as other locations. The service is fine, nothing special. The restaurant could be a little cleaner but the kitchen was spotless. Large assortment of drinks, including sugar free ones, in the Coca Cola machine. Complimentary peanuts.
Customer service could use some work. Some tables were dirty as people don’t know how to pick up after themselves. The food is another story. Fresh, made to order and worth the wait. You will get your money’s worth regardless of the size of fries that you order. I ordered a small, yet I received about a quarter of a bag of Cajun fries.
Just when I thought 5 guys couldn’t get any better! The Eagle Sauce that the young men working gave me was fantastic! Dipping my fries in it tasted so good! They gave me a spicy variant of it too!
Just got into town, looking for a good burger and quick, we were starving. Did a pick up and go...
5 Guys hot the spot !
Love me some Cajun fries !
Associates were great !
Rock on 5 Guys !!
As I entered the establishment, I was met by a cacophony of welcomes from the employees, who were an incredibly friendly group of young men, some with bleached hair (brings me back to 1992). One of these men took my order, and communicated said order to the grillmaster, who was a friendly looking chap. They had my food out in no time, and I must say, it was delectable, the Idaho potatoes fried in peanut oil constitute the perfect side to a marvelous five guys burger, at a reasonable price I might add (thanks inflation). Overall, I had a wondrous, arguably life changing experience at five guys, and I will definitely be returning soon.
First time experience was on Ohio. Truly awful. Dirty store and uncooked food. This place restored it. Clean, fast paced, cooked thoroughly burgers. Definitely did their part of upholding their reputation.
They have the best hamburgers and fries hands down. Just wish they had a location in Council Bluffs.
Way too expensive!! I could've went to a restaurant and had a chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes and gravy for the price of a burger and fries with a water. I guess there's a reason I've only been here twice.
A lot of people seem to love this place. The beef patties are cooked right as you order them, and the wide selection of toppings available is fun as you can get exactly the burger you want.
Bottom line, it's a good burger place. There are a few things that make me wonder why it is so popular...
The fries are fresh cut, meaning they are basically greasy and flaccid. They taste more "potato-y" thanks to the skins being left on, but no one really likes a limp soggy fry.
The burgers are great for about 3 bites, but then you might as well get out a fork because they are so juicy and sloppy, especially with extra condiments/toppings. The bun basically disintegrates and the burger patties slide apart. This can be partially avoided by getting the "little" cheeseburger, which should be called a "regular" cheeseburger. Some people must love a giant mess of a burger, but I just don't get it.
They offer peanuts for some reason... I guess something to do while you wait? Wording on the box asks that you not take them out of the store so as not to affect people who are allergic. If they are worried about people with peanut allergies maybe they shouldn't put them at the front of the store right next to the door. Or maybe just not have peanuts? Not like you'll be hungry after you reach your last fork full of greasy burger.
The best burger chain around. Super friendly employees, they don't skip on the fries either.
Tasty burgers like mom use to make. Juicy & flavorful. Fries are real potatoes. Big and plentiful.
