Great place food and service was excellent loved all the things on the walls best I have seen will definitely be going back. Talked to owner very nice I made pictures of their pictures on wall just really like that place.

The owner is fantastic! She comes around to the tables and gives out fresh, HOT, doughnuts! The fried chicken is just like my grandmother used to make: crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The bacon is thick sliced and baked to perfection. The only downside is that they are only open from 7-1:30 every Sunday. That’s not that big a deal. It’s been that way for over 2 decades and they’re still open. Every time I go to Owensboro, I’m going to make the drive out to Windy Hollow.

Having breakfast at Windy Hollow is always a must when I come back to Owensboro to visit. The buffet is the very definition of comfort food- so yummy! My favorites are the house made donuts and the sausage. You can also spend hours looking at all the amazing historical artifacts that decorate the restaurant- I notice something new every time. I only wish it was open more days than just Sunday!
