Outstanding service & some of the best sushi in the desert, not just steak & seafood. They took excellent care of my large group, service was on point! Spectacular wine list & happy hour too.
Mitch's is a place for family and a place for single and couples to love.
The bar is excellent and hapy hour is packed with the crowd that let's you know they are having a great time. The outdoor patio and restauant is expansive and relaxing, with the beauty of a zen garden. Food, did I forget, food is excellent.
I have eaten lunch at Mitch's before but this was my first dinner experience. My partner and I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed. The pork shank was a hit with my partner and I enjoyed the halibut. Great ambience, friendly staff and excellent service. We will be back!
Mitch the owner! What can I say about the guy? Well he greeted us immediately, made us feel welcomed in his establishment, all around cared for his customers and treated us more like personal frienslds or family. Our server Chris another top notch gentleman and the food was excellent!! Thank you and we will be back for some more!!
On of my favorite restaurants, Mitch and Melissa do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome. The jalapeño roll is a favorite as well as the 808 Roll. The patio is beautiful and the menu offers delicious food from sushi to steaks and of corse to Seafood ! Andy loved the stuffed shiitake mushrooms 🍄 he said his absolute favorite.
Our customer service experience was excellent. From getting drinks at the bar while waiting for our table to the table side visit from Mitch himself. The oysters on the half shell were fresh, the sushi roll was mouthwatering, not one complaint from our party about the Dover sole, the sea bass, or the shrimp fettuccine. Plates were empty. One would think it would have been a no to the scrumptious show stopping chocolate ice cream cake desert. Thank you Mitch’s for the great dinning experience
My wife and I took our two friends to Mitch's on El Paseo for a special dinner. We were all very impressed with the food and the service. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio, and we were seated in a comfortable table. The menu has a wide variety of seafood dishes, and we all found something to our liking. We ordered the lobster bisque, the grilled salmon, the seared scallops, and the lobster tail. The food was all delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time at Mitch's on El Paseo, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
Here are some of the things we liked about the restaurant:

Overall, we had a great experience at Mitch's on El Paseo and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
Love Mitch's. The best food and drinks. The scallops were so soft and tasty. The best chocolate martini that I have had in a very long time. The outside dining was so lovely. I highly recommend going if you are in Palm Springs/Dessert.
Tonight, we dined at Mitch's on the El Paseo and Portola in Palm Desert. The place was packed! Outdoors we noticed a great beautiful white bougainvillea, which aren't that common. We've been many times here. There were five of us dining tonight, sitting outdoors in the evening. A bitter wind came up, and we all got chilly. But then they turned on these beautiful heaters. And we suddenly noticed that all the booths were lighted up and had been recovered in a new delightful, fresh print. Our waitress, Mallory, who we've had many times before, was her usual cheery self. Small complaint, despite specifically asking them to time the courses, they came on top of each other, and we did feel rushed. Our host bought a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio (See pic), which was excellent. It wasn't Silver Oak excellent, but very nice. For starters, the other guests split Caesar salads, our host had his favorite soup, "French Onion". He noted they put chives in which is abnormal, but he thought tasted ok. I had the Caprese Salad, which was beautifully presented with Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata cheese. The burratta was not as smooth as in past but still yummy. For entrees, the host ordered the duck and thought it was delicious; his date had an enormous pork chop (See pic), which was served with potatoes and green beans. She said it was on the borderline of being too well cooked, but was ok. The other two guests both had the filet mignon, which I double-checked was cooked a true Medium Rare. I had two orders of sushi, California roll 6 piece, and Crunchy Tempura (also known as a Carburator Roll) 12 piece. Couldn't eat the CA rolls and took those home (too full). We declined dessert & coffee but I took pix of the menu. Enjoy!
What an incredible restaurant, everything about our experience was 10/10! Will be back soon!
