My family and I visited Shish Kabob & had the best experience! We drove an hour to eat here since we have heard only good things about this restaurant, and we are so glad we did. We had never eaten Persian cuisine, so we dicided to try the chicken soltani and beef soltani. We even got to taste test chicken wings that weren’t on the menu yet! (Absolutely tender and flavorful marinade) Everything was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the vibe itself was energetic, and inviting, with what I presume was traditional music playing. The chocolate baklava with pistachios were our sons favorite! Then, we finished off our meal with some soothing tea. The hosts were also very friendly and provided the best experience. We cannot wait to go back! If you’re looking for an awesome local business to try out & support, this one is it!

After deciding to try different Rhode Island restaurants as a new state resident , Shish Kabob came up in my search of local restaurants. I placed my order on the phone, deciding to just do take out . The transaction was effort less- I inquired about some items on the menu and decided on the salad shirazi (minty lemony dressing over tomatoes, onions and cucumber) super refreshing, Beef kabob platter ( served with rice and a grilled tomato) so tasty! For dessert I tried all three baklava - pistachio was my personal favorite! The chocolate was a close second😍 Shish Kabob is super intimate, perfect for a date night or a lunch break. Make sure to call ahead. Do not sleep on this new restaurant! It is a hidden gem! The staff was so friendly and pleasant. I will be adding Shish Kabob to the take out rotation!

I’m not sure why I haven’t already written a review, thought I had already done so 🤦‍♂️. With that said, this place is AWESOME! You will not find another place that will dish out food like this in over a 50 mile radius of here. Guaranteed. The owners are so friendly and the chef, has so much love and passion for what he does that it translates to the food 150%! Do not miss out out this delicious homemade Persian food. For those that are not familiar with Persian cuisine and chances are most aren’t as we have literally no options in all of RI, know that you will be eating a very high standard of this beautiful cuisine. My personal favorite is the Kabab-e-koobideh and to know that the owner himself prepares the skewers from scratch and grills them on a live bbq grill in the restaurant in front of you is a feeling like no other. Any true foodie will be in for a treat. Lastly, the decor inside is just so soothing. They have it set up traditionally and have made a genuine effort to share their beautiful culture with us. Please try!!! Highly recommended!
