This place was great! The owner was behind the counter, he answered all our menu questions, and made suggestions . He was very personable. We had the fiesta fries(pic below) with chicken, beef, aioli, green peppers, pico and cilantro. Then the mac & cheese hush puppies - It was all amazing! My husband said the corn dog was one of the best he’s had! We will definitely be back!

I’ve gotten food here a few times, and it’s always been delicious. They’re known for their hushpuppies, but their catfish basket is excellent. I’m very particular and picky about catfish, and this is by far one of the best fried catfish I’ve had. The batter is not thick, it’s crispy, and the fish is flaky. The owner and staff are friendly and lovely people too. I plan to work my way through their menu.

Happened upon Rec’s while visiting friends… Had the hush puppies (mac n’ cheese & jalapeño/bacon/shrimp) and catfish. So so good!!! Great crunch and so savory! Also chatted with Kenneth, the owner who is a beautiful human! We were eating and he dropped off 2 water bottles just to be kind! Served our country for 16 years and now us serving our bellies!!! I’ll be back the next time I pass through!!!
