My favorite sandwich place in Philly till date. They bake their own bread. Fresh meat, vegetables and cheese. If you toast the whole bread, then it will be more tasty, I observed. I always order the turkey sandwich, the Arcadia or the Jersey. They are both awesome. The bread is a bit more hard to tear, but it's taste is worth all the effort.
One of my friend suggested this place and I haven't changed since then.
All around enjoyable and surprisingly inexpensive. The almond croissant was well executed and the pumpkin seed bread made great toast topped with kaasaggio robusto 10 month old and halved dates. The borscht is very flavorful for still what I referred to as gringo borscht. It was restauranty and salty without its more familiar rustic charm. Just because I do not see myself making it myself and my baba has been dead for 20 years, I see myself ordering it a second time. A quality bakery with a long history in Philadelphia
