Absolutely incredible food, and friendly service. The fried yuca was hands-down the best we have ever had. But we also ordered the croqueta sandwich, rice, beans, papa rellena, and guava/cheese empanadas. You must try it!
We wanted a place more where the locals eat and also have something different than much of the food fare served in pigeon forge.
Smokies came up in a quick search and it was a delight.
Tucked away in strip mall setting, it is on the main stretch, but it’s easy to miss.
Once inside, you are transported to a place that is aesthetically much different than most places in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area.
The food was amazing and as authentic as one could make it. I was simple, I had the Cuban sandwich. It was as delicious and did not disappoint in the slightest.
The rest of our party was as equally impressed. Sadly our hunger clouded our ability to realize we all failed to take photos of our food. But I assure you it’s amazing.
If you are looking for something a little different than fried food and typical southern dishes, this is definitely a place worth checking out, plus with so many places with long waits, this local spot was a change of fresh air.
I would totally go back for more.
We ordered the Roja Vieja (in picture) and the meat was super tender and the flavor was savory! Their beef and cheese empanada dough was perfect, I need the recipe. And the croquette sandwich was a must. We came twice while visiting Tennessee. Must stop in.
Stopped here for lunch, greated at the door. Waitress was great answered all of our questions. Loved the food wish there was one at home.
I just have to say it's like going back on time with this place. The food is so good, clean, and organized. Great portions, the empanadas (empanadillas for us) are so good. I'm not going to talk about the coffee, you have to try it yourself. I recommend this place 100%.
