Dina was our waitress. She was very attentive and accomodating. She made great recommendations for drinks and meals. We ordered house (Traditional) margaritas. I recommend to order one jar of margarita per two people. Two full jars of maragaritas was too much for two people. They were very strong, but we can appreciate that. We prefer a little sweeter, so we ordered a few shots of agave syrup(gave us indigestion later, we think) to mix in. Phil, the lead bartender delivered it himself. Phil explained their margarita recipe is half tequila, half triple sec and margarita mix. We talked for a few. Awesome guy; invite him for drinks.

My neighbor is a bartender there, and I've never been there before. I'm from Florida so there's a lot of new places I haven't been to yet.
I drive by the Franklin Inn so many times in a month, and I still hadn't gone there. I saw it was recently their 45th birthday for being open, so I figured I'd stop in and try em finally.
It was absolutely packed!!! Like sardines, so this place is definitely a local favorite. I talked to quite a few locals at the bar, since I was by myself. My neighbor made me a strawberry Mason jar margarita. Man was I feeling good. Chips and salsa were good, could have been a little spicier. I had the grilled chicken street tacos, corn tortillas, some sort of cabbage slaw and some creamy green sauce that was spicy but not crazy. Honestly the tacos were a solid 7/10. Chicken was a little dry but overall, with the special rice and fajita veggies, it was a great meal. I definitely want to go back during non-event times, and actually sit down in their restaurant area, to try some of their other items as well. And the drinks were great!!!
The good: everything I've ever had here is great. The guac is fresh avocado and lime, the shrimp have the savory caramelized bits on, the cheese is real, the salsa is perfectly kicky! Best Mexican in the area.
Salads are fresh, not an afterthought. Plenty of vegetarian choices.
Margaritas are plentiful and diverse.
Service is very good. Kind, attentive, friendly.
The only bad thing: the seating. It's very loud due to close tables and hard surfaces, and the chairs are very uncomfortable. I have no back issues but I was in pain after an hour. I don't think they have other options for seating, so just keep that in mind and maybe sit outside or bring a jacket to put on the chair.
We've gone several times and we will be back!
I've been here once before. We got here for dinner on a Tuesday night around 5:45 when it was already packed. We didn't have to wait too long to get a small table. They had a limit on the amount of time you could stay - maybe 75 minutes? It seemed like plenty of time but they were so busy that it took a while to get our orders placed and food received so I felt a little irritating at that point. We were able to eat quickly and get done though. The way staff was nice. And the food was tasty. Overall I think it is The best tasting Mexican food I've had north of Pittsburgh, so I imagine we'll probably be back.
We can't remember our servers name. Perhaps sherry? Either way we drove from Ontario for a friend's wedding and they suggested this restaurant to meet up at for a weddings eve meal. The food was awesome. The margs were even better. They had some issues with their hood and couldn't immediately serve entrees but our waitress was absolutely wonderful. We had the best time and as soon as they could serve food , the waitress made sure we got an order in. Thank you for making a special time even more memorable. Would definitely come back !
Friends brought us for the first time on a Saturday night. We have eaten at MANY Mexican restaurants, but wow…… 10/10. From the drinks and appetizers to our meals, seriously some of the best food across the board. Service was great too. Will absolutely make a trip back again.
I had the fake beef enchiladas. They cost more than most of the other enchiladas on the menu, not sure why. They were fair. The place is pretty busy. I used to go there years ago. I don't think I ordered the right item on the menu. I like the atmosphere a lot, service was good.
The staff and food are both always fantastic! The best wings and margaritas of any place I have been over the years!! Yes, I said the besse wings are at a Mexican restaurant. The Franklin Inn is always my go to whenever I am in town!
I would come back to the Franklin Inn just for the margaritas. However, the food was great and so was the service. It was packed but we were seated in 5-mins.
They are technologically advanced too. You get on the waitlist via a tablet and we paid for our food via a QR code at the end. It wasn’t required but it made the process faster.
Looking forward to going back!
Food disappointed , it looked good in pics. Shrimp taco.. had shrimp chopped like chicken :-( feel like I cud have made it better. Rice was a little under cooked... Portobello with chorizo had flavor was saving grace . Empanadas were ok... Service was good...
