First time eating here and will definitely be going back. My wife and I met one of our friends for dinner here. Their kitchen was about to close as it was a last minute decision to meet up for dinner. They kept the kitchen open and made our food to perfection. The owner walked around and interacted with all of the customers, asking how was their service and food. The waitress showed southern hospitality and was genuine. This place is a prime example of true ponchatoula roots. Definitely brought me back 25 years for a moment and reminded me of how this sweet little town used to be. The building is split in half, a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. There weren't any chandeliers hanging or silk table clothes. Instead there were massive turtle shells and bass hanging on the walls and a massive tree trunk serving as a building support right in the center of the room. To me that felt like home.

Don’t understand how these burnt shrimp poboys are getting the positive reviews they’re getting. Never had rubbery shrimp that taste good in my life. Those posting about how delish CANNOT be from here. Or never ACTUALLY had a REAL good shrimp poboy before, so they have nothing to compare it to. Or possibly had a different cook than this awfully pathetic thing, sitting in front of me. Sorry to say, but this is a one-hit wonder for my family. Never to return, again. Why the one star? Effort! 😏

Have always gotten my boiled seafood(over 5 yrs) from here- not as spicy, but seasoned. I got a fish dinner and was SO disappointed. The fish was crispy outside and tender and flaky inside, but had no flavor- no salt, pepper, or any seasoning. The fries were prefrontal, not fully cooked, and with no seasoning. The people are great, but get out the Tonys!!!!

The staff was amazing but me and my boyfriend got their at 4 they had us and 2 other tables one had a party of 6. The only bad review I have is that I ordered the crawfish dinner he ordered shrimp poboy chicken fries and beer battered onion rings. Well she comes to take our order and I tell her i the crawfish and she says it's 3.49 a lb . She turns to give in order. A hour and half later he got his poboy then after 10 minutes I got my crawfish and went to grab one and it was cold not once did the waitress say I will be served cold/chilled crawfish and I was supposed to get fries I think with the dinner but never got them I said something about them being cold she took my tray and brought it to the back. The only thing good was the onion rings they was hot juicy huge and had great taste. But I coult of had just a bad day we are all intitled to one bad day. But great atmosphere staff was excellent drinks never ran out and if needed something she was their.

Small out of the way family owned restaurant with separate bar area. The food was delicious with fresh ingredients. The portions were generous. I had the shrimp poboy and my husband had the oyster poboy. We split an order of onion rings. The servers were friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area
