OK, so I'm not from the South, but have been to a few BBQ joints in my lifetime. Wally's ranks right up there with the best. Had the ribs and the pulled pork, choice of 2 sides, hush puppies and bbq beans. The meat was exceptional; moist, tender, flavorful with the right amount of fat and char. Also had an excellent BBQ pulled pork pizza. Atmosphere is low key, service is good. If you're looking for good BBQ in Port Charlotte, go here. Beats KC's Arthur Bryant any day!

You Gotta Eat Here. After looking through the long list of available restaurants around Port Charlotte we settled on this fantastic barbecue restaurant. What a great choice. We chose a dinner for two, 4 kinds of meat with two sides for $24.95. The waitress was not only helpful but had that great quality of friendliness, that I love. All the food was excellent and enough takeout for another meal.
They have a long list of entrees and some excellent seafood or salad choices.
I have no trouble recommending this restaurant, we will definitely return.
