This is a pretty good place to go for Chinese hotpot. It is not as authentic as one would expect, but close enough. I was a regular there when I was studying at PSU. Lunch time is the best deal. Dinner is not.
Yum yumm. Dinner $15 all you can eat seafood, beef, pork, chicken, veggies galore. Self prepared in a broth of your choosing. Includes drink. Seasoned however you choose. Really neat setup/concept! Once you get the rhythm and find your seasoning mix it's the greatest. Small place. Limited seating. So don't come in a rush & expect to push people around. Owned/run by nice Taiwan lady for 11 years. Usually packed with Asians. Should tell you something!! Ha!!
Very simple soups. Casual environment. Lots of parking and near Harrison & 1st max stop. I had acgreat Sunday lunch for $10.00. All you can boil.
By far the best kept secret in Portland. Fresh seafood, meat, and veggies. I go there at least twice a week and am obsessed. Don't go expecting anything else served besides the hot pot ranging from mild to extra spicy broth. Ruby and Jack embody great customer service and are personable.
This place is fantastic, we love this place. It's a bit pricey, but the food and the family who run it are great. The hot pot style is really fun to experience. Lots of menu items, and you get to cook them to your desire. The couple who run the jointv are super cute and friendly. The location is great for parking, and it has easy access to downtown. The way the place steams up site to all the hot pots and all the windows is great. Fun for the whole family.
Best of the best! I drive down from Seattle just to eat at HPC! I try to bring friends and put the word out to anybody that enjoys hot pot because it's so rare and delicious. They have lovely individual pots in a bar setting or larger tables for larger groups. It'a almost impossible to find individual pots along with a buffet, so talk about amazing! Choose from several broth flavors; I prefer the spicier. The proprietors are fantastic but don't put up with your shenanigans, so do your homework before you come. It's super simple and I assure you it won't be your last visit. Kindest people (especially JACK!) and freshest food! Tell them RYAN FROM SEATTLE sent you! You won't regret it...
A great place to have hot pot. Service is excellent, we got taken care of from start to finish. Food is top notch, I had the meat broth while my girlfriend had the mala and we loved our broth. Price is reasonable, $24.50 per person for all you can eat and soft drinks.
Great food and ambiance. The owner is super nice and hard worker. The selction of food is really good..i enjoyed their hot pot and would definitely comeback again.
First hot pot experience for me and my partner and it couldn't have gone better besides the fact that we stuffed our faces too fast. The older lady was super nice and did an amazing job explaining how they worked with the all-you-can-eat, sauce bar, and drink station. She let us know key tips on how to get the best cooked meat from the hot pot and was happy to answer any questions we might have. The Taiwanese BBQ broth was super tasty and made a great addition to my dipping sauce(there's a lot of options to build your own just the way you like).10/10 will absolutely go again, just probably bring a couple more people and remember to take my time eating.
