Cute place, used to love it here but more recently it’s generally overrun with crowds and their prices have gone up. Drinks are ok, depending on the bartender you get, food is overpriced and mediocre at best, but they have an absolutely wonderful beer/cider selection.
Cool Linus Pauling art, great sandwiches and solid tap list. Had a hearty, delicious veggie meatball sandwich and a lighter, but equally flavorful and delicious bbq tofu sandwich. Both were on perfect, fresh soft sub/baguette rolls. If that's not enough, the restaurant is in Pauling's old high school, and full of cool art and books.
This is a regular place that our coffee meet up uses because they have a larger space for a group. Martha's not only offers coffee drinks, tea, food and pastries, but they have a full bar just Inca you want to get started early. This is a great place to hangout have a drink (either coffee or a drink) and chat with your friends, surf the internet or play games. (They have board games). The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice place. Many beers on tap and a full liquor selection if you are seeing a show at Revolution Hall. Also can have a coffee and chill out if you are hanging around during the day.
Martha's does what so many others try but can't seem to quite pull off. Hip, but never pretentious. Accessible. Friendly. Great selection of drinks, good, wholesome food. Staff, I can't say enough about the staff. Martha's is Portland, done right.
