Lived in Portland in the 1970s-80s and loved especially the raised glazed and jelly donuts. Just came back from a visit to Portland and was amazed to see the shop is still there ... and still churning out the BEST donuts I've had in many years! Better still, the atmosphere is one of community ~ old-timers meet for coffee, locals gather to catch up on the news, all ages are accommodated. And the staff couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. If Maine is "the way life should be" then Tony's Donuts is "the way a coffee shop should be."

Tony’s is my go to happy place. Their crullers and jelly doughnuts make me swoon. Come spring, their hot cross buns are the best in Maine! We’ve been going to Tony’s for 37+ years.
