I always order the maple bacon + chicken dish. This time, I tried their hot chocolate drink. It was great! I love coming to eat here 🥰

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorites out of the chain breakfast places like ihop and dennys because their hash brown casserole is delicious!
They provide consistently fair breakfast.
It’s not a fancy place. Very casual.
The food did take a long time here compared to other locations I’ve been to.
Nonetheless a solid quick breakfast option.
I also love their little shop area with all the cute items. They have clothes, books, mugs, candy, and just a bunch of toys and things. The people working here were really nice.

Clean, inviting store and the staff was very friendly. The food was great as well. Cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I had the grilled chicken tenders with corn and greens.

This is the Prattville, Alabama store.
I will start off saying, when I’m on business trips or traveling with our family we always hit Cracker Barrel stores as they’ve always been a crowd pleaser for the whole family.
The good-Our waitress Kaitlyn was super nice and super attentive. Now the bad, in the first photo you’ll see the used butter container left at our table, it was handy so we could contain the bug crawling across the table. If you want to use the restroom, keep going - theirs is filthy. Everything common to touch was dirty, the door windows didn’t look to have been cleaned in several days. When we put our name in the first girl (she was Caucasian) told me 30 minutes and was moved to the side and the African American with the straight hair wig said,”nope…” and selected 45 minutes. And folks who weren’t Caucasian that came in after us were seated first. When you’re ask if you want chicken sausage…don’t - just don’t.
I did contact the Cracker Barrel corporate line to tell them about this store-the first time I’ve ever called a number like that, it just seemed to be necessary in the case because this store makes them look really bad.

There was a long wait but it went by fairly quick. Good breakfast with a nice presentation. The patty sausage was not a favorite but we were quite satisfied with everything else.

Even with covid in place excellent service and good always hood
This was a good visit to Cracker Barrel in Prattville, I had the chicken fried chicken with turnip greens, fried okra and hash brown casserole tots. All cooked just right, My wife had the Sunday special Pot Roast and it was served in a small pot and piping hot at the table and very good. Service was good, and the server was friendly and on time with refills.

Visited again after a long hiatus. The fried chicken is the best I've had anywhere. Crispy and moist with flavor to the bone. They must brine the pieces as that is the only way to impart that much flavor and retain moisture. As good as the chicken is, I may choose a big bowl of their turnip greens as they are smokey and perfectly seasoned. A splash of pepper sauce is all it needs to make it not only the perfect side but with corn muffins, a meal unto itself. As a true son of the south, I would never praise a chain over homemade but those greens are that good.

I tend to like Cracker Barrel for breakfast on the road, but this was an... interesting experience. It started with a long wait to have our drink order taken and when our waitress, Summer, showed up, to take our order and vanished and she seemed perfectly nice. Once our order was placed, Summer came back about 15 minutes later to drop our drinks and to inform us it would be a wait for our food since the kitchen was backed up. No big. Things happen, restaurants get busy. Our food shows up and two of our table's three orders were wrong, but Summer doesn't show back up. At this point, the restaurant has mostly emptied out. The eggs in a basket with the eggs over easy were cooked way over hard. And the french toast with the eggs over medium had two eggs that were... way under cooked as in barely considered over easy. The blueberry pancakes were fine. We watched to flag her down, but, unfortunately, we ended up just eating around what we could because Summer didn't emerge to our table to check us on; she showed back up only to ask if we were on one ticket or not. She dropped off the ticket and scurried away. It was a bad dining experience all around. If you're out road tripping, I'd recommend skipping this Cracker Barrel and finding somewhere else for breakfast.
