Excellent all around. My partner and I came here for a lovely dinner a few days before Christmas and we're blown away by the food and service. We don't go to many high end restaurants, but of the few we have been to this definitely sets the bar.
Every course had layers and depth of flavor. They were all a good, shareable size. We shared an appetizer and side dish and each had our own main course. It was more than enough food.
But, trust me, get desert too. The desert is to die for.
It’s challenging to give a venue 5 stars. A few weeks ago I was sat close to Ashley in a local bar, I wanted to tell her how good our first visit to D and T was but I thought I may bug her . Anyway , my wife and I went last evening for my Birthday celebration . Everything was on point from start to finish. A warm welcome , the best seat at the kitchen bar , a great reception from the server(s).
Cocktails were off menu, traditional, and as requested. Appetizers : pate, shrimp, and oysters were stellar. Bread was great . Mains of pork loin and fennel sausage, Campanelle pasta was extraordinary. We couldn’t finish what we ordered .
An exemplary restaurant that we enjoyed every minute of the experience . The only downside , and it’s a minor one, is I thought that the wine list was a little overpriced, but I could have always not bought some, so my choice .
Won’t be our last visit ..oh, great martinis at reasonable price …I don’t eat bread, but I devoured theirs
Death & Texas was okay, if you’re in the mood for steak I recommend the NY strip, which is what I got. I also tried the oysters, they weren’t bad, I enjoyed the warm lemon chili on them, which is what makes them unique. The dessert was okay, I thought I was going to get something outstanding just by the other two dishes. It’s contemporary dining, I’d suggest it for dinner dates!
