I really enjoyed my experience here. I try to always eat plant based which can be a challenge when traveling so this place was a huge win for me although the portions are little small. Eating plant based means consuming more calories for me so unfortunately I left not completely full.
I didn’t give 5 stars because of the small portion sizes and they were understaffed. I was the only one waiting to be seated and nobody came to get me for about 8 min. I finally sat down at an empty table, the place was busy but not packed. I found the menus and got myself one and waited another 7-8 min for somebody to come. The staff was very friendly and working very very hard but there just wasn’t enough of them to take care of everybody. I noticed other people complaining so I remained calm not to add any extra stress to the staff. They took very good care of me once they got to me.
I would highly recommend this place I would just note that you shouldn’t come hungry. I would say this is more of a plant based culinary experience that’s well worth the money in my opinion; just after a main course and dessert I wasn’t completely satisfied and ate some more when I got back to my hotel.
Hope this review helps, enjoy!
The Food was life changing! Everything was amazing. Presentation, taste, service. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿❤❤❤❤. I know where to eat when I am in NC. We need more locations all over the USA. There is a reason it is called Living Kitchen. The food made me feel alive. Thank you so much!!!!😍😍💯💯
This is the cleanest restaurant that I have ever visited. The menu here is a leaf eater's heaven: totally vegan, but I, however, am not. Nonetheless, the food is excellent quality and delicious. The servers are personable and attentive. Good location. Pricey, though... should lunch sandwiches for two cost over $40?
This place is a culinary heaven on earth! I'm a vegan/plant-based eater, but bringing my omnivore friends here is never a problem - they love the food, too. The service is always above par and the food is always amazing. It's a very bright restaurant, a little noisy (when full), definitely a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Location is great for downtown, I just wish there were another location in North Raleigh.
Everything was fresh, colorful and flavorful. I had the Tri-color Hummus appetizer---it was coarse (in a good way) and all three flavors were delicious. The Bar-BQ Sliders were attractive and the sauce on the mushrooms was good. The texture of the mushrooms may not be for everyone (especially if you eat meat regularly), but the flavor profile was spot on. The service was excellent--- fast, friendly, and informative with just the right amount of attentiveness.
Best vegan food I've had in Raleigh. Everything is plant based. There are no items on the menu that even contain egg. Definitely no meat, no dairy. The place was ambient, cheerful and the staff were super friendly. I recommend "The Volcano" (a non alcoholic fruit drink) to go with your meal. The food was slightly on the hotter side so I recommend discussing your preferred spice level beforehand.
Eat to live and live to eat! Exceptional service and amazing food (and juices)! If I lived closer I'd eat there every day of the week! Tried the soup of the day, chili, and it was absolutely awesome. We'll be back soon that's for sure!
I love the Living Kitchen in Raleigh and in Charlotte. They make the most amazing vegan, raw, and plant based meals ever. Such a treat!
I'm not usually a fan of raw food- but this was great. Everything was very flavorful and so fresh! The service was very attentive and friendly, every time I'm in Raleigh in the future I will definitely be stopping by.
Great staff, excellent food!
We tried the BLT, broccoli and mushroom pizza, some kind of burger and a kale Caesar salad. The salad dressing was amazing!! Very flavorful and tasty. The Brazil nut parm stepped it up a notch.
For dessert we tried the turtle cake. It was absolutely delicious! It’s very hard to find vegan caramel, somehow they made it taste like the “real” thing.
We’ll be back for sure.
Very good food. Been here twice and have had good service both times. Only reason for four and not five stars is price. I think the portions are perfect and prevent waste, but wish they were about a dollar cheaper per entree.
If you do keto, paleo, vegetarian, etc., Living Kitchen is the place with their organic, plant-based menu! Enjoy!
My favorite place to go in Raleigh! They have delicious healthy food that leave you satisfied. Some dishes are more filling then others but the prices are reasonable with the high quality of food. Very unique...at least for Raleigh. I hope they lead to more places to realize healthy foods can taste good!
This place was amazing. I’ve walked by plenty of times and finally decided to try it out...
First off, the entire menu looked like something I needed to try so I resorted to asking for some recommendations from our server, Calen. Calen was spot on and she did not let me down with the BLT sandwich and special soup of the day.. some kind of Thai squash ginger soup with Cheyenne pepper to add a little spice.
I arrived close to closing time and the entire staff was super friendly and remained accommodating the entire time. The place was squeaky clean and the food was even better.
I’ve heard the broccoli and mushroom pizza was delicious so that’s next on my list! Can’t wait!
Love this place. Single stall gender neutral restrooms. Handicap accessible. Great atmosphere, good food, cool staff.
Went here for lunch today for the first time. We were blown away! Had the basil avocado sandwich and the beet salad, as well as the kale and oyster mushroom salad. The sandwich looks small and simple but the flavor is outstanding! The dressing for the kale salad was perfectly balanced, and my anti-beet husband enjoyed beets for the first time ever!! The lemon berry cheesecake for dessert was irresistible. Can't wait to come by and try out the pad Thai. Love that we finally have a all-vegan restaurant. Although we are vegetarian, I think omnivores will love this place too! Ambiance is bright and airy, great for a nice sit down lunch/dinner or a casual bite. Plenty of space for a larger group, too! We will definitely be back!
A little on the pricey side but I have no problem paying more for healthy food. Others may not so that is the only reason this place gets 4 out of 5. Otherwise it'd get the five stars. The food was great and the service was even better. Clean, laid back establishment with friendly staff. Portion sizes may be small for meat eaters but it's just the right size.
The BLT with a kale ceasar is a must, an I'd you have room the turtle cake is oh so good. Get there early things run out due to freshness
