The food is good here. Their white sauce is one of the best in town. Food is freshly cooked (sometimes recooked) and comes out quickly. The front desk girl was a bit rude insinuating that we shouldn't dine in since they closed in a hour. Other than that everything else was perfect. I will be dining in and carrying out at least once a week since I moved closer

My mom and I often go here for dinner dates because they have the best prices and the food is delicious. I do not typically like white sauce, but theirs is the only one that I will eat. Again, their prices are great, i can get hibachi shrimp, chicken and steak for under $9 and it is a lot of food and tastes delicious. They also have some really good fried gyoza. I wouldn't recommend their sushi, if you're looking for something fancy, but they do not claim to be a sushi bar. They have a few basic rolls for under $4 and they are not life-changing, but they are also not disgusting or anything. They are also very fast with preparing their orders. I live about 12 minutes away and usually call in the order on the way there and it's always ready as soon as I get there, but still hot and fresh! They are also not stingy with their sauces, I think you can get 4 cups with each plate and I have never used all four and I think I apply sauce pretty liberally. My ONLY :( is that they stopped being open on Sundays and sometimes, I REAAALLLLY want a good hibachi plate after church!
I am new to Raleigh but I love hibachi I have tried other places but didn't like them the shrimp always seemed to be burnt. I had a favorite place in Durham called New Japan and I love it! Japan express is the closest thing to my old spot. It's clean and fast and prices aren't bad. An hibachi shrimp is only $7+ Tax. The white sauce is made just right!
Japan Express was delicious when it was there!!! I'm hearing they moved to Wake Forest. Pleasant Valley Shopping Center did a huge remodel, and the rent went up. They didn't want to pay, so they left. I hope they do well!! Look them up in Wake Forest, because their food and prices are a *****
I love this place (def. a guilty pleasure)! If you're craving Teriyaki Chicken and white sauce in a massive portion at a great price look no further! You will eat until you hate yourself without a doubt LOL! Little tip: order ahead and it's always ready in like 5 min. Also, not open on Sunday which is something I always forget!
