Great family owned and operated place! Andres is active in the community! Delicious Nicaraguan dishes!
Great Tex-Mex great staff. Bountiful menus great portions great reasonable prices. Ill keep coming back.
Twenty five friends went to dinner at 5:30 on a Friday evening. We had pre arranged that everyone would have fajitas. The portions were ample, the fajitas were very tasty, and the service was very good.
This place is a bit out of the way for us but
We have never had a bad meal here and will only go here for our Mexican food
Never had anything bad, especially service!! Wish Andres would open a location around the corner from my house!! The street tacos are my fave!
Fabulous. Very good food- chicken flautas are especially excellent. Ask for the "green salsa" if you like cilantro. So refreshing after being in the hot Texas sun.
Very good food, especially the tacos al carbon! Good deal for fajitas for 2 on Mondays, only $16.99. Very good service, attentive. I've seen the owner many times during many days
Great food all around. Authentic and very fresh Mexican food. Just wish they horchata to wash all the food down. We got filled with the chips and took the rest of our meals to go. Will return and highly recommended!
The chips and salsa are exactly what I have in mind when I crave chips and salsa. I could eat 3 whole bowls on my own.
Had a phenomenal seafood cocktail to beat the heat and my wife loved her tacos al carbon. We are excited to come back and try more!
My girlfriend and I had lunch here today and the food was amazing... actually it's always really good ... you have to try it if you haven't been... Well until next time signing off Two Peas
Finished visiting Brazos Bend State Park and we were craving some yummy Mexican food, I googled a few Mexican restaurants near by and came across La Cocina. It had great reviews and it didn’t look overpriced! As soon as I tried their chips and salsa, I knew everything else would most likely be delicious and I was in fact correct. Service was friendly and fast and the food was yummy and fresh. Needless to say we will be back here again.
I am glad we found this place. I have tried a few Mexican Restaurants near us, and La Cocina was our favorite so far. The service was a little slow as they seemed short handed, however despite this, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I always rate Mexican Restaurants on how they make their Spanish Rice/arroz, because if it is made right and the time taken to make it, then I know the food will be good. This rule of thumb hasn't failed me yet! Their arroz was delicious. The Al carbon fajita meat was seasoned well and tender and the flauta was crispy and had a generous amount of chicken in it! The salsa was just right and so was the pico de gallo that came with my plate. All in all we were satisfied that we found this place.
