What a fun place. I had a really good experience with the wait staff. Ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was a bit spendy however I was able to split it up for a decent size snack. Pickle ball court for a family friendly area. Bean bag toss and plenty of seating. We went on a nice evening cool out. Not sure how they will deal in the summer??? Most seating was outside and had a little heater in some areas.
Lots of open space. Outdoors is cozy and the fire pit is a nice touch. The food is great! We got the crispy Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and it was delicious! Partner got the ahi tuna salad and seemed to enjoy it as it got devoured pretty quickly. Finished it all off with the lovely brownie dessert. Everything was so tasty.
This was the 1st time I have been here. I've heard amazing things about it from friends. As we walked up it certain looked the part of a good restaurant. It was inviting, decorated in that homey industrial vibe. I loved that they had minimal menu. I had the Oysters Rockefeller and the Burger in a bowl with no bun and it was amazing. A buddy of mine got the maple bird sandwich and he said it too was delicious. It is a little pricey, but the ingredients are the reason. I didn't feel like I overpaid at all. The wait staff was very attentive but not over the tip in any way. At the end we were asked if we were veterans and when we said yes we received a military discount which was an added bonus. I can't wait to go back again.
This place is a gem! The ambiance, drinks, food, and service was all exceptional. I got the “good vibes only” drink, chips & queso, and the rooster sliders (sweet & spicy crunchy goodness).
Great place to bring the kids or just some good friends and hang out/eat, plus they have a big projector screen for watching games, corn hole, and a mini tennis court.
Standard Service was awesome. The biggest issue was taking our order. It took about 15 mins or so. After the order it was fast and it was pretty good.. The food was very good, the atmosphere is a 50’s, 60’s inside, outside is benches etc.. It is a little bit far (from Rowlett) but if I come to heath I will be back..
Great but expensive was my first reaction, but our server noticed that my friend and I are both veterans and we got a 50% discount off our entire bill. That takes this place from great but expensive to just great. To the food. You can tell that a better class of ingredients are being used here. My friend had the oysters Rockefeller and burger bowl. I had the Maple Bird sandwich with a maple thyme glaze and fries. My sandwich is normally $15, which is kind of expensive for a chicken sandwich with fries. However, considering the class of ingredients, the location and presentation it is probably a fair price. The military discount made it more than fair. The service was great and the restaurant itself is well laid out with lots of both indoor and outdoor seating. I'm sure that I will be back.
Food was way over priced for what you got. Over all nice area out side to play. Need better set up to get drinks from the bar.
The manager was great with accommodating us for Easter; last minute reservations. The food was really good, our server, and the whole vibe. Gathering on The Rock Church will most definitely be back for events!
