Second time to this place and loved the food even better than the first time!! Great server and great walleye. We had the June special, Honey Fried Walleye, to die for!! We'll be back!
We live in the neighborhood and my family has been coming here for many years. We have always loved the food, but the wonderful staff is really what makes this place special. My husband and I stopped in today for lunch with our one-year-old, who we hadn't been brave enough to take out to a restaurant for several months. The serving staff doted on our son, coming from all over the restaurant to talk to him. It made two anxious first-time parents feel so welcome! Thank you, TOG staff! ❤
Great options to try walleye prepared a variety of ways. Even had a burger which was excellent. Service was awesome, very friendly & accommodating staff. Nice , casual atmosphere.
My family and I were at Tavern on Grand for a family gathering after a memorial service. We were in a private room. The service was excellent!! The onion rings they brought when we sat down were delicious! The beer was cold, and the Walleye Sampler was excellent! I would definitely recommend it!

Have your Walleye blackened not grilled. This was recommended by our server and he was right!!! The food was delicious and the staff warm and friendly.
Yum - one of the best fish filets I've ever had. The potato cakes were tasty but the bland steamed vegetables could use some seasoning, and how about a decent roll or some warm bread? Service was fine.
Obviously the walleye is something to rave about, but so are the ribs. The staff is also friendly and prompt. We really like our experience here.
Awesome Walleye. Quaint "locals" restaurant. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff & customers. Well worth finding. The blackened walleye was perfect. Tender & moist. Sat at the bar with Tom as our bartender. Will go there again when i want some good walleye.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere. My husband and I love the Tavern on Grand. He always orders the Blackened walleye which, he says, is the best he's ever had, anywhere. I love their soups, chili, salads. We go for the friendly service and atmosphere as well, never a bad experience!
Must have walleye!. Best walleye in twin cities period!!! Grilled and blackened walleye are my favorite and ask for the the cajun tartar sauce. If you like walleye this is the only place to get it.
