I am not easily impressed when I eat out. The Cookhouse absolutely blew me away. They greet you at the door, opening it and inviting you in. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our drinks and appetizer, which was the charbroiled oysters, came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Sweet Emeline, which is their version of a lemon drop. Not very sweet, but the sugar rim helped in that department. Anyway, it took our dinner a minute to come out, but the atmosphere was great so we didn't mind too much. GET THE BBQ SHRIMP!!! Seriously. You won't regret it. It is amazing! We also ordered the black and gold pasta, which was also pretty damn amazing. The staff was amazing, including GM Matthew who came over and personally thanked us for coming out. Shout out to our waitress Skylar as well; she was a gem! I highly recommend you try it out if you haven't.
Jambalaya was cooked perfectly and was put together well. Apps and desserts were highlight of meal for sure. Very creative menu and atmosphere was very traditional NOLA cajun. Was bummed we left while the band was setting up but that wouldve been the cherry on top of a great experience.
We attended Bon Mange on June 28th and it was simply amazing! This might have been the best meal I've ever had coupled with extraordinary service. I definitely recommend The Cookhouse to anyone looking for fine Cajun cuisine.
July Update: We attended Bon Mange last night, July 26th and it was utterly spectacular. I cannot recommend the Cookhouse enough.
