Hands Down, Zia has some of the the most creatively crafted vegan pizza that we have ever experienced. The vegan walnut butternut-squash pizza is my favorite. Zia offers superior pizza, solidified by superior service. Can't wait to come back.
This place have the best customer service and the pizza was delicious. I would recommend anyone of you to try at this place.
The Best Pizza Place in San Diego. One day if we ever move out of this city Ill definitely miss this place. All the pizzas here are delicious and has a unique flavor. A lot of variety to chose from both for meat lovers & vegans.
The owner is a super sweet guyI love this place and would definitely recomment to any pizza lover.
Been coming to Zias for years, best pizza in town. You can get it by the slice too!
Definitely a pizza experience. The food was FANTASTIC, the owner is VERY knowledgable about his food and pizzas. He really is bringing a high quality food to the area!
I highly recommend trying one of every slice that he has up on the counter. I was not disappointed by a single one! Ask him which ones to eat first though as some are fairly mild in flavor and texture, yet others are very bold.
I always passed in front and admire the vibe inside, but I had never entered…until today, finally I tried one of the best vegan pizzas of my life, it totally escapes the sameness of traditional pizzas. If you are simple and boring this is not the place for you, but if you like me like to take risks and try new flavors this is the ideal place! Plus the super welcoming and patient service! They made my night! VEGAN AND TASTY 🥰
The online menu had so many vegetarian options it got us hyped. If you are buying slices however you are limited to whatever pizza they have out at that moment. On a Friday evening they only had 2, with couple more coming out in 10 minutes. The pizza slices are priced reasonable. Their crust had the perfect thickness, and they were a bit flaky almost like a pastry. Vegan spinach pizza with potatoes was surprisingly good. It left a nice aftertaste in my mouth. They use aromatic sauces and spices, I think this is what sets them apart from a regular pizza joint. They have various draft beer, and bottled beverages such as brown sugar root beer. I would come back here just to taste something different. Street parking can be bit challenging depending on the time of the day.
Edit: I came back after 2 years (should have been earlier) and had another great experience. They are always super nice and welcoming! I tried a new flavor "Butternut Squash" pizza and that was delish!

The guy behind the counter was the nicest and the pizzas were delicious! I love how everything is pork free because I do not eat pork so I can basically try everything. Would definitely go back if I feel like having pizza.
This place is one of my absolute favorites in SD. The owner is such food people and the pizza is some of the best I've had. They use pastry flour and some of the best ingredients on top I've had. They always have amazing new styles with new pestos and cheeses and veggies and meats. Always a treat coming here.
San Diego is known for good pizza, but this slice shop stands out from the rest. Though it's located in ultra-trendy Normal Heights, Zia isn't a new kid on the block. The restaurant has been a local staple for over 10 years, and it's almost as if its owner is known for his outgoing personality through the community. Inside Zia an airy vibe is accompanied by eccentric art and decorations that somehow make the place feel like home. Slices aren't as big as some New York style joints - but expect a fantastic variety of culinary masterpieces. Crust has a delicious buttery quality and is neither too crispy nor chewy. Expect anything with marscapone to melt in your mouth.
