Impossible to classify this place. It's a casual restaurant with fine dining like service. The food is everything you've never had and totally delicious. The wine selection is really why I will keep coming back here.
I stumbled upon this restaurant in Bon Appétit. We had the tasting menu w/ the pairing and it was worth every penny. The food and presentation were carefully thought out. The only negative thing I have to say is that I couldn’t take the beautiful dishware home with me! Would definitely go back.
Service, Food, Setting all top drawer. My only suggestion is to change the harsh lighting. Nobody looks good in that type of lighting. Ugh! Find something flattering to your patrons.
Great service, wonderful tasting menu. The wine pairings were spot on, flavors were interesting and unusual. Highest recommendation. Our party of 14 was treated so well, I can't wait to return!
Had the tasting menu and pairings, just great! Loved the simplicity and letting the ingredients shine and the wines were excellent choices as well!
Wonderful birthday dinner. Beautiful, expressive food, amazing flavors, thoughtful presentations.
The food was divine. The service excellent. We were there for a celebration and every detail down to the flowers on the table were perfection
The best best food I ever had.. period. Specially like the tasting menu.

Nice food and excellent service ! Love it
We had an incredible dinner at Lord Stanley! We did the tasting menu and tried seven dishes that had both French and Korean flavors and influence. Every bite was an experience in itself…. Savoring what each unique flavor had to bring. Would absolutely return and highly recommend. Service was top notch from Alex and the entire staff. Thank you!
Incredible meal. Andy R was such a lovely and warm server. The atmosphere and décor were inviting. The star of the meal was the mushrooms on butter - trumpet, button, and hen of the woods. The oysters were great. The bone marrow didn't have the umami flavor I was looking for but was rich. The beet ravioli with ricotta, pumpkin, and pine nuts was full of unusual flavors. The desserts were all tempting, but we both had "La Sueur" -the chef's creation - with an intriguing combination of textures and flavors: a tart with lime, strawberry, Turkish delight, & meringue. A great night out!
Got the infamous Pecking House fried chicken and it was superb! The sides were amazing too! I tried to go whole in NYC in November, but timing was off and I could not make it out there while in NYC. I'll definitely get some more while in NYC next time!
Wonderful service and a nice space! Went for the 7 year anniversary of lord Stanley and had a great meal. We did the 4 course meal and it was a nice blend of flavors in my opinion. If you get anything to go, go for the fish and chips :)!
I would definitely go again, the food was an introduction to fine Korean dining. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the background music was on point. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and passionate about the food.
The seven course tasting menu at a Turntable by Doshi Doshi is a blend of delicious flavors and excellent presentation that left me wanting more.
The Bugak Chip and Dungeness Crab Dip, compliment one another well. The sharp flavor of the crab dip was mellowed by the flavor of the chips.
The raw halibut, chilled soybean broth, and alliums were a nice chill treat. It provided a unique flavor profile that I didn't imagine was possible with these ingredients.
Beef Carpaccio, Tomato, and anchovy almond crumble, was truly a treat to eat. When all of the flavors come together in your mouth it's just a wonderful experience. The almonds add to the overall richness of the flavors.
The seared tteok & halloumi, 7 minute egg, and brown butter in my opinion was the best dish. All of the other dishes prepare your palette for this meal. The intense flavor profile is balanced by the rice cakes and eggs which are cooked to perfection.
I thoroughly enjoyed the palate cleansing hoda soy yuba, wood ear mushrooms, cucumber, radish and hot mustard. The hot mustard gave the salad a nice zest. It was a light salad that allowed my taste buds to get ready for the final dish.
As for the final dish the Sundae cake featured a delightfully rich sauce along with mushrooms. The sauce of the dish enhanced all of the flavors of the individual components. I'd highly recommend eating this slowly to fully enjoy the flavor profile.
I’ve been a huge fan of this restaurant since pre-pandemic. Compared to other Michelin starred restaurants, it is fairly affordable for a phenomenal food and service. The vibe here is super down to earth and not pretentious at all. They do such a great job in cooking duck and vegetables. I’m a duck lover so whenever I see duck dish in their tasting menu, I immediately book a reservation here.
HIGHLY recommend this place for people who’d like to experience Michelin starred fine dining since it does not have an intimidating vibe and the food is Michelin worthy.
This was my first time here and it was a great experience. The restaurant was a little loud but overall the service was amazing and the food was great. Can't wait to come back.
Turntable at Lord Stanley is important to know about, especially if you dine out frequently. This is easily one of the most interesting restaurants in San Francisco. In its previous incarnation, the Michelin starred Lord Stanley was already a touchstone of good food and a neighborhood icon but they have taken a risk with Turntable and managed to level up in unexpected ways.
Lord Stanley was always good at feeding you several vegan courses without you realizing it. They were always at the critical point of creativity and good taste. They were always serving up satisfying meals that were somehow the right balance of light, healthy, and knock-out flavor. And they were always at the expert intersection of traditional fine dining and reimagination. Now their stellar kitchen and affably adept service team continue all that, but now swapping out the head chef each month with a new rising star from around the world.
Two months into this new project, we have managed to catch both guest chefs so far, with resoundingly satisfying results. If there has not yet been a Michelin starred pop-up, this may end up being the first one. If you’re tired of feeling heavy from too much dining out; if you find yourself wondering which of your favorite restaurants (whose menus you know back to front) to go to yet again; if you are lamenting the reduction in in overseas travel – then Turntable at Lord Stanley might belong in your regular rotation.
Engage warmly and openly with their service team, explore their wine program (and trust the experts behind it), exploit the economical week-night options, and, in between visits, remember to occasionally elevate your day by stopping by their unbelievable street counter window. Turntable at Lord Stanley are good neighbors (both for San Francisco and the rest of the world) and are a crucible of creativity and superior food.
Kevin Law Immi pop up at Lord Stanley is a smashing hit. The menu was innovative and sumptuous. Every dish was made with craft and heart although I suggest to remove the dumplings from the menu which was kind of a distraction (although I understand the sentimental value). I was most taken away by the chilled noodle which was just perfect. The duck dish and the dessert come close next. Also the beverage pairing was reasonable. Carry on sir, hope to see you soon.
Been here 2x, gotta say I actually enjoyed ordering apps and entrees more than the tasting menu. Everything that we ordered was delicious, even their freshly baked bread was perfectly chewy and they only allow 1 basket per table-no extras or else people would just eat free bread and not have to order anything because it is that good. Really though everything was delicious from the little bites to the bigger dishes to desserts! Cooked perfectly, great flavors and creativity, one of the best michelins not for tastings for American new type food. 4 stars only because their tasting wasn't as big of a wow factor. Food trendy but you don't need to dress super trendy, more comfy casual
