I happened to come across Contraband Coffee Bar by chance. I was actually in the vicinity to try Elite Coffee but it was closed because of which I ended up here. And i'm glad I did!
I loved the vibe of this place - it had a very contemporary feel to it! The baristas were very polite and friendly. Also, it wasn't too crowded for a late Friday afternoon.

I got a CAPPUCCINO and the POTATO TURNOVER - both of them were pretty good. Although I would've preferred the Turnover to be a little less oily. The Cappuccino was on point!

Good music + great vibe + pocket friendly + perfect coffee = Winner

The best Nob Hill spot for espresso, no question. Worth the trip down the hill to hang out with the locals in a tucked away spot. Tasting Notes: Strong start and smooth, velvety finish.

I've tried quite a few coffee bars and cafes in SF both on this visit and on previous visits. These guys appear to do the best coffee in Nob Hill from what I can see.
